Surprised Dias is quite far down
I suppose we have such high standards for KDB And take him for granted now!
This season has been made possible by our defensive strength and for me thats down to Dias. He has brought Stones along for the ride and i've loved the partnership and relationship those two have built.
I think you can make a case for quite a few, but want to give a special mention to Mahrez. The guy was getting pelters from all over early in the season and ill hold my hand up i was one. Seriously wanted him out of the side and the club this summer. Don't know what clicked with him, but the second half of the season he has been outstanding and is now an absolute must start in the big games. Hats off to him.
After alot of thought I've gone for Mahrez . So many good consistent performers this season. Diaz, gundo, foden, stones, kdb. The reason I've gone for Mahrez is that I like the way he's turned it around. I wasn't his biggest fan, I rated him as a player but I didn't think he fitted into city's team or was a pep player. This season he's clicked. He knows what's required from him, he's been a team player, he's got the best 1st touch I've seen and he's producing when it matters. So he's my choice.
We've had players that have been our best players for a period..Mahrez, Phil and Kev last few months... Gundo, Bernie and Cancelo whilst Kev was out.
But Dias has been at it from the first time he pulled our shirt on, he is the one player you could say as a matter of fact that if we didn't have him this season, we wouldn't be where we are.
Lots of contenders, Dias, Stones, Gundogan, Foden, KDB - all have a good claim and not much between them. With the title and Champions league still to play for my opinion could change in next few games (at moment it would go to Dias)
