I would also add that because he was up against Dier, hardly a natural attacking RB, and Lamela, who kept diving inside onto his left, that he had a slightly easier time of it, but he played really well regardless and contributed to other areas to help the rest out.

.

Great point; he looked like a beast in Italy and provoked us to play such an inflated fee because in Serie A, and particularly the post-Calciopoli era he played in, most teams used 4-3-1-2 or 4-2-3-1 with inverted wingers; it meant he had no direct, constant offensive threat to deal with and a shitload of space to push forward into at his own wooden-legged pace. His first league game for us against Aaron Lennon saw him absolutely destroyed.

The reality is he's had one good season in 5 years with us, and it'll be good riddance once he leaves this summer.

Genuine Question for "A". Why don't you come clean and reveal who you actually support because it sure aint City.

I would like to know that as well

There are loads of them at it. If they want to waste their time, let them.

Have had mixed feelings about him for the last few years.
He's the best in the league as an attacking threat from deep left but his howlers mean that I just don't trust him as a traditional LB.
If we are going with some variation on 3 at the back he's ideal but if not then he's only an expensive squad player.
His character is good, he's one of our best set piece weapons and is Balotelli like in drawing fouls to relieve pressure.

Absolutely destroyed by Aaron Lennon?
Strange because I seem to remember Kolarov badly injured after twenty minutes, wrongly diagnosed as something that could be ran off, subbed at half time, and subsequently out injured for the next three months.
I know Kolarov splits opinion, but at least get your facts right.

We don't want a traditional full back do we? We play with attacking full backs and he is one of the best. If Fernando was any good, he'd be able to cover him when he goes forward like Gaz Baz used to be able to, but Fernando has been a massive disappointment

Actually .A. Is probably a City fan, just a very unique type: Only likes Prem and English players.
