Could have sworn he blocked a certain goal for spurs after MDM got into a bit of a mess. I must have been dreaming.

I'm not his biggest fan, would happily move him on in summer, but seem to recall same incident you refer to.

And to think he's been getting more game time than Dinho.

Statue today, can't remember one tackle.

He is a defensive midfielder, not the next Iniesta.

He does the dirty work, on the quiet and does it effectively.

There is a reason why he is rated in the game and why he gets picked weekly.

^ What dirty work? He didn't win a single tackle today and has very low tackle completion rate for a specialist holding midfielder. All he does is follow the opponent and often gets left behind. He's been very disappointing besides a few performances. Fernandinho isn't even a 'real' holding midfielder and makes more tackles and interceptions than Fernando, who is a specialist holding midfielder. Let's hope he has a better second season because this is a position we could really upgrade.

You do a great job posting info about City , that's where your contribution should end as your knowledge of the playing side is not the best
Sorry mate, have to disagree with this. LC is good judge of a player imo. He's not infallible; none of us are, but he's got a good eye for a footballer.

Spot on summary by LC. Not mobile enough for the prem, the game just passes him by.

I wasn't Garcia's biggest fan but I'd swap him in a heartbeat.

Are you referring to the save Joe made when Kane took the ball off Demichelis?

Barely noticed him. Fernandinho had a blinder next to him though. You got a link that shows him not winning any tackles LoveCity? What about interceptions?

0 tackles, 2 interceptions, 0 clearances, 0 blocked shots, 0 fouls.

I personally don't even like the concept of a specialist defensive midfielder anymore. I prefer 2 midfielders who can both tackle, press, pass between the lines and contribute a lot to the game. Verratti at PSG to me is what a modern day 'holding' midfielder should be.
That's what de Jong was and we outgrew him years ago. De Jong did what Fernando does a lot fucking better though. Fernando is consistently a passenger and seen as he offers absolutely nothing going forward, not to make a single tackle is shocking

Would like to see someone present a logical, information based case why selling Garcia and buying Fernando for the same money wasn't a completely pointless course of action. Not to say he's completely without merit, but doesn't seem to do anything better than Garcia, who himself was a limited player.

Some of you on here today are an embarrassment.

Not happy with a good game today and three invaluable points, you would rather nit pick and look for negatives. Some of you are fuckin helpless (bet you have a clicker for everytime Nando makes a mistake so you can make graphs).

Try getting behind the team rather than looking for cheap points because he didn't do this and should ahve done that.
