I don't get that analysis at all, he's easily the most powerful player we have in midfield

The entire midfield is dysfunctional at the moment because we have Yaya Toure who is the best passer we have at the club strolling around.

c'mon really? we can't really put the blame soil on Yaya because maybe Fernando can't really do his job properly...look at the stats after the games for fernando the stats are shocking for a HOLDING md like him he is supossed to wipe everything in front of him and give the defense the cover they badly need is he doing this?? no.. i agree with you about md being a mess because apart from fernandinho the rest of them are just average...what we need to do is get rid of players like yaya and fernando and bring another1-2 players like fernandinho..having players like him in the team and especially in the MD wil make a huge diff from what we see atm and maybe the defence will be at his best again...we can argue all we want about the defence this season but as long as they have players like fernando or yaya in front of them there will always be problems and they will have to do the job of their too for example just look at kompany this season he is drag on almost in the MD to cover for the people in front of him and this is why he is having a average season has he did that when players like barry ndj or javi where in front of him? NO...that is the diff and that is about fernando just not good enough not for us and maybe not for PL.

Rather one sided and blinkered view IMO. Vinnie is having a poor season end of, not because of someone else. I would go as far to say Vinnie has been the reason others have had a poor season.

Ha, what???

So, if one of your collegues at work doesnt perform as well as usual you personally fall to bits? :-)

If that is your attempt at humour, don't give up your day job. Vinnie has caused quite a few of the problems at the back this year and as a result others have had to try and mop up behind him. This isn't ideal and often puts others in unatural positions, so yeah, I stick by my post

Give us some meaningful examples of this happening. Specifics if you like. Who has done what mopping in what instances? "putting others in unnatural positions" is just a generalisation that means nothing.
Vinny hasn't had a great season by any stretch, your post count must have doubled though with the amount of time given to pointing this out along with Zabaleta. So yeah stick to your post, just explain it a little better please.

correct. Kompany has been below par due to his own lack of judegment , esp in one on one situations.

This became a feature of his game as long ago as the first game of LAST season, Newcastle at home, when stupidly he dived into a needless challenge on the right touchline when there was no danger to our goal and badly injured himself, missing several games and struggling on his return to reach the level of top notch centre half play we had all become used to.
None of this was anything to do with Fernando!

This season, once again Kompany has struggled to find the consistency which we have become used to- I doubt if we can blame any of our midfielders for this.

Back to Fernando, his first two games of the season, Newcastle away in particular he looked superb..as tho he had took to premier league football instantly.Who can forget his 50yard dash back to superbly intervene and snuff out a lightening fast Newcastle counter -attack.?
His home debut against red scouse was also promising , esp in the last quarter of the game when stevie me and co started to get stuck in...Fernando showed he was not one to be intimidated and smashed gerrard a couple of times in central midfield, leaving him in a heap on a couple of occasions, and suggesting to those watching that he could indeed bring bite and steel to our midfield. Its fair to say that whoever sanctioned the purchase of the player, at that point, looked to have made a savy decision.

What has happened to him since doesn't really add up. Looking slow and ponderous on the ball, caught out of position a few times, showing a real lack of flair( ok he wasn't brought for that part of his game) and no real goal threat .....cant really blame any other player for such poor attributes.

But he's saying Kompany is at fault for other players performing poorly not the other way round. Fernando isn't responsible for Kompany being off form in the same way Kompany isn't responsible for whoever the fuck he's being blamed for for also having a bad season.

Exactly. That's why everything is Yaya's fault. Apparently.

It adds up perfectly, as he pointed out in his original OS interview, he's a destroyer in front of the back 4, he cleans up, gets the ball back and knocks it to his midfield in front of him. He does not play the Yaya or Fernandinho role in a 2 man midfield expected to do anything remotely offensively, he sweeps up and makes the tea for the defence whilst Aguero has a run with the ball.

He's been completely misused this season, that's why he's been bobbins for a large part of it.

I'm saying because Vinnie has been guilty on more than one occasion for losing the ball in an advanced position, others have had to cover the gaping hole he has just revealed. This has led to others "mopping up" behind him. In doing so, rash tackles and needless freekicks have been conceded putting unecessary pressure on players and the team.

Ha! So not only can Fernando's lack of protection in front of the back 4 not be cited as a factor contributing to VK's poor season, Kompany is actually responsible for months of poor performances from Fernando? You could not make it up, Fernando is not good enough it really is that simple.
