What did you think of his performance on Sunday?
Thought he was fine Sunday but bloody muck every other game this season. Got bloody destroyed tonight and gifted them a goal, murdered at West Ham too and Hull IIRC

No he did not give them the goal to score ! We have the defense to cover but Zab allowed his man Doumbia to receive the pass. That was Zaba's & Hart to stop the Goal!!

Re: Gael Clichy

imagine this parody of a defender he has became vs Robben...God please have mercy with us Robben willl eat him alive

Re: Gael Clichy

He's not the only problem in the team, but Clichy isn't good enough to play every week.

He's ok as second choice, but he makes far too many mistakes to play every week at this level.

Re: Gael Clichy

I'm okay with a player having a mare.

I'm okay with a player struggling for form.

What I can't tolerate is stupid suicidal balls across the pitch lackdaisically delivered without even looking up.

I've said this a number of times on here whenever a player is struggling and it exasperates me on each occasion that it needs saying to a highly paid professional -

If you're woefully out of form and things aren't 'clicking' stick to BASICS! Revert to default, to the ABC game that is ingrained in each player from the thousands of games they've played in their lifetime. Short, safe passing and overlaps. Concentrate 100% on your positioning.
Get the basics right that form does not impact and go from there.

Re: Gael Clichy

He was terrible, again.

It's looking like the derby was more of a one-off than a return to form.

He needs dropping.

Zabaleta-Kompany-Demichelis-Mangala

Sagna-Kompany-Mangala-Zabaleta

Zabaleta-Kompany-Mangala-Milner

Zabaleta-Kompany-Mangala-Angelino

Demichelis-Kompany-Mangala

Don't care.

You surely cannot be serious.

All Clichy had to do in that situation was show a bit of composure and turn with the ball. The defender was coming at him from behind and like most experienced defenders do nowadays he can easily draw a foul. Even if not he would have been in a better position to clear the ball.

What you DO NOT do in that situation in needlessly smash the ball across the face of goal in a dangerous area. It textbook defending.

You two are joking aren't ye?. Have you ever even played football? Number one rule you learn once you start playing as a kid is never pass across your own goal mouth. Once he did that the defence was caught flat footed and unprepared ...to blame anyone else for that is ludicrous
