Re: Gael Clichy

Absolutely shocking, another player who isn't up to it. Sell fast, 30 years old next summer anyway.

No he did not give them the goal to score ! We have the defense to cover but Zab allowed his man Doumbia to receive the pass. That was Zaba's & Hart to stop the Goal!!
^^^^^
You two are joking aren't ye?. Have you ever even played football? Number one rule you learn once you start playing as a kid is never pass across your own goal mouth. Once he did that the defence was caught flat footed and unprepared ...to blame anyone else for that is ludicrous

Watch the pass received by Doumbia (the most dangerous CSKA player) again. We had the Defense back & set. Zaba was ball watching with VK closed together & not covering Doumbia who was on his right. It should have been a heads up play for Zaba!
Yes Ball was turnover by Clichy but that did not lead to a breakaway or close to the goalmouth. Its easy to scapegoat Clichy eh?

So you are going to blame the player who turnover a ball that led eventually to a goal even if there are enough defenders back for cover ? Unbelievable!

Say wot!?

Re: Gael Clichy

So Zabaleta and Kompany should mark CSKA players whenever Clichy has the ball, just in case he plays it to them? Any other player and that would be madness, but with Clichy that seems a pretty sensible strategy tbh.

Should've snuffed out the turnover ball, buddy;0)

Re: Gael Clichy

Both our left backs are not good enough, haven't been for some time and yet rather than address this, we give them both new contracts.....

The Gravy train has just pulled in at the Etihad Stadium.........all aboard....

Re: Gael Clichy

Well, somebody had a shit game. Disappointing, I was hoping he'd turned a corner.

Re: Gael Clichy

Clichy is a good player. However, the odd game like yesterday is why he isn't a top player
