My man of the match, and he's been back to his best after a shaky start to the season. He's always been defensively brilliant but the flaw in his game was his 'floated' crosses. He's obviously worked very hard because he's improved his crossing massively this season.
The coaches have to take some credit for that because it's obvious that they prefer us to hit low, flat crosses. Everyone's doing it and it's improved Clichy's attacking game .
We did of course win the game with a header, but these days that sort of cross is very much the exception rather than the rule.

Was amazed he didn't get MOM, all 3 goals were from the left and could've got so many more. The 2 or 3 interceptions in the last 10 min's impressed me just as much, he must've been ready to drop by the final whistle!

He's been making those interceptions when we've been under pressure all season. He's got a lot of composure and bottle.

With MoM voted for on social media a goalscorer is always more likely to win it, and Yaya's was one hell of a goal. I thought Clichy was excellent when at the ground but after watching the highlights, he lost Rodwell for their first and his slip contributed to their second, although I appreciate Mangala also got waltzed passed and Zabba's challenge was just daft, so I can understand why he didn't get the votes.Paul11/12 said:Was amazed he didn't get MOM, all 3 goals were from the left and could've got so many more. i'm sure some people just try and compare Gael with Roberto Carlos or something!!??!
I thought he had a very good solid game again, (apart from the goal they scored from the corner but how he was marking someone 6 inches taller than him is beyond me mind?)
ps...im guessing 6 inches? think rodwell is 6ft 2 and gael 5ft 7??
