No surprise that Mangala played much better with Clichy alongside him.

Noticed that myself Rammy. Thought both gael and quim were fantastic yesterday.

Maybe so and they both played very well. However, they played together away at West Ham and got skinned throughout the game!

Clichy wasn't alongside Mangala for much of that game, he was nowhere to be found. (which is pretty much the problem with Kolarov) When our leftbacks go walkabouts, the opposition run into the sapce they should be and Mangala has to go charging across to cover, which is where most of our problems have stemmed from. As long as someone has actually been in position at LB, Mangala has been pretty much fine imo

At the start of the season they were being rotated in and out of the team nearly every week. Consequently the defence looked unsettled. Due to Kolarov's injury, Clichy got a run of games and since then has played extremely well on the whole. His crossing and forward play has improved to such an extent where he is currently a much better all round left back than Kolarov IMO.

Without a doubt he is our best left back at the moment, but could be blamed for both goals yesterday. Admittedly, he shouldn't have been marking Rodwell in the first place but he missed a tackle for the second. He has benefited from the injury to Kolarov and no rotation.

Been fantastic for last month or so! Still needs to improve his 1 on 1 defending could save us alot of money if continues in this form!

i still think kolarov is leaving in the summer so we are looking at around 5-10M net on a left back

Cost us the goal today in my opinion,was in front of Willian and should of booted it into row z, instead got outmuscled,crossed it in and were 1.0 down

Good performance again, only blemish is on their goal didn't really fight hard enough against Willian.
