The turn around has been spectacular. Pretty much our whole fan base were ready to drive him to the airport themselves after some truly shocking performances but his last few games he has been faultless.

I don't think his form was ever quite as bad as was being made out - he had two really awful performances at West Ham and CSKA (home); other than that, he wasn't much much worse than several others who were struggling. I think he became a bit of an outlet for general frustrations with results/performances.

Brilliant for the past few games, what a change over!!!..

As far as I can see, he should have been particularly disappointed not having been selected with France before Swansea game (Evra and Digne were injured, Tremoulinas and Kurzawa were picked instead of him), making him less than the forth choice. I think he realized he had to put his finger out.

I've always been a big fan of that kind of players, always involved for his team, never speaking for himself. But he definitely lacked some character. I hope this transformation will last, for City and for France

Re: Gael Clichy

Its an amazing turn around in form for Gael. He's been really impressive last few games. Surely Pellers wont be rotating him anytime soon. You only have to look at Chelsea to see the benefits of a stable back 4.

Yet another brilliant performance from clichy.

Yep. When he was in a 2 way fight with Kolarov for his place he seemed to suffer, once Kolarov went down injured, and Clichy was the only real left back option, he's suddenly stepped it up and started playing to a consistently high level. It's now imperitive, with Kolarov returned, that he keeps it up and doesn't regress back to his previous performance levels.

Re: Gael Clichy

He's done an absolute 360, his form was so poor earlier it was impacting Mangala too. He's much improved and going forward he's come on well.

Kolarov's going to have a tough time getting back into the team.

Re: Gael Clichy

I do hope Pellegrini leaves Clichy in for the next game.
In fact, I hope he leaves the back 4 as it is for once!
Leicester are not a big threat and resting VK a bit longer would do no harm.
Bet he tinkers with the back 4 though. (No doubt Maureen wouldn't )

I presume you mean a 180.
If he'd done a 360 he would still be heading in the same shit direction as before!!
Agree he is far better than Kolarov atm.

If he's done a 360 then he's back the way he was before he started!

Haha!
