I suspect there is a financial motive behind him wanting to leave. it will be a huge payday for him if he leaves out of contract.

The excuse that it's all about playing time doesn't wash anymore. He played a lot of games this year including starting in centre midfield against Barcelona in the last 16 of the champions league.

I have no problem with Milner wanting to move on, but if he says it's about playing time then that's bollocks.

he just runs a lot and gets stuck in. He's a limited but very good player. Not at the level we need these days although he has helped get us here
