Re: Samir Nasri

Looks like his season is over. Absolutely gutted, taken a huge edge off what was a great win.

Will miss him big time.

Re: Samir Nasri

Hard to know. Walcott was sat up and waving to the crowd from a stretcher before he was diagnosed with a season-ending injury so comparing him with Samir and the pain he was in being carried off today only makes one fear the worst.

Similar to the de Jong challenge on Ben Arfa and though Yanga-Mbiwa should be banned he will escape punishment. It is time for Jovetic to show why we paid £22m for him.

It was absolutely nothing like the De Jong challenge. In fact you're unlikely to ever see two tackles be more different.

Or perhaps you mean the end result?

The end result and both were extremely poor challenges.

De Jong got the ball, wasn't that bad of a challenge, didn't even get called as a foul if I remember correctly.

Eh?? De Jong won the ball head on. Yanga-Mbiwa was from the side/back and clearly just got annoyed with the fact he couldn't get to the ball.

It's his medial ligament (MCL) guys not his cruciate (ACL).

Pellegrini says suspected, not for definite.

I've done my medial ligaments before and I can't believe it's that considering the pain he was in. It's not the most painful injury unless your knee gets bent inside to out, and Nasri's didn't. I wonder whether it might not just be an impact injury, maybe cracked fibula or patella?

Agree. Thats what I wrote on post match thread.

Didn't seen his knee hyperextend so I hope it isn't serious.

Re: Samir Nasri

The worst fans on the planet, Arsenal fans, celebrating his injury like a victory.

Despicable people. If not us, hopefully Chelsea can win the league.

Correct, the two challenges were nothing like each other. De Jong played for and got the ball. Mbiwi didn't even try to get the ball, he cynically hacked Nasri down. Nothing at all like the De Jong challenge.

Re: Samir Nasri

It was a terrible tackle lets hope it's just a sprain and no ligament damage. Get well soon Sammy lad.
