Re: Samir Nasri

Having watched it again just now it's a shocking challenge. Looks as though Nasri just got his foot off the floor in time there.

It's bad news but we can cope without Nasri as long as we keep the other midfielders fit. Milner and navas bring something else to the table, and silva can still be playmaker. I just hope for his sake and ours that it isn't a cruciate or similar.

Manny mentioned medial ligament.
Looked like the right mechanism to injure the medial collateral ligament.
Was a kick from the lateral aspect just below the knee rather than a twisting force such as would cause an Anterior Cruciate rupture.
6-8 weeks if its a medial ligament injury with any luck. Hopefully no meniscal injury.
Good luck Samir.

Re: Samir Nasri

Terrible challenge and I feel for Samir as he has been playing some of his best football of late.

But, I had to laugh at Pellers post match interview on Sky. He was clearly incensed by the challenge and the only audible part was when he said "red card" which he did on numerous occasions.

What we got was "gibberish red card gibberish gibberish red card gibberish gibberish gibberish red card" etc.

Re: Samir Nasri

Just got back and seen the 'tackle'. Really quite angry about it. The ball had long gone, it was plain assault.

Dirty fucking ****. If ever a challenge was worth retrospective action, it's that one.

In your expertise I will take comfort. Hope you're right mate.

Re: Samir Nasri

Where is the outrage from the media for the challenge? I remember a certain challenge by De Jong against Newcastle which resulted in a week long witch hunt. He even lost his place in the Dutch team because of a perfectly executed tackle. This was premeditated yet there is nothing apart from reports on Sami's injury.

Re: Samir Nasri

His fingers are still on the floor when he hits him and leg does a circle a bit. No chance it's not serious one unfortunately.

Fingers crossed my friend. His foot was off the ground on contact which is another good thing...

You could bet your mortage that if it were a certain mario still playing for us it would be on constant repeat on ssn asking for him to be tared and feathered publicly
