Re: Samir Nasri

It's almost like having a new signing....his game has improved so dramatically under Pellers and also his work rate.

I also agree with the posters who have mentioned that Silva and Nasri are now playing so well together......and this is after most people were saying last season that they could not play in the same team.......long may it continue.

Re: Samir Nasri

Rejuvenated he is! Quite remarkable.

Re: Samir Nasri

Fantastic to watch when on song, retains possession so well and drives at goal purposefully. Both he and Silva seem to be exceptionally willing to work to get the ball back too.

We need to stop taking him off when he's on. It always seems to go to pot then. He looks more interested now, and keeps the ball better than anyone. Taking him off today gave Chelsea more control in the match.

This

It was a major fuck up taking him off today. Samir rarely loses the ball and is a major factor in us controlling games.

When I was saying that last year "but he moved from the wall" twats were screaming...

Even when he was not at his best like last year City played twice better with him on the pitch. He is a vital part of City's football style. Last time he lost the ball was when he was 6., it's amazing how such small player is able to effectively use his body to protect the ball.

Re: Samir Nasri

I've no axe to grind with the Mancini/Pellegrini thing but those saying its all down to Pellers are wrong

The penny dropped with Nasri when Mancini called him out in public, form began to improve at end of last season/post season in states

Re: Samir Nasri

Was sat up high in CB 3 yesterday and found myself mesmerised watch Nasri's movement with and without the ball; so fluid, moving all around the front line.
It was a real pleasure to watch all the interplay yesterday, but I just thought Nasri was the highlight. The guy is absolute quality. That is all.

Re: Samir Nasri

Big decisions coming up on Nasri now.

18 months to go on contract in January. Big big wages......

Las year it would have been sell but this year he has found form again and I would keep. Whether the club will pay those type of wages I'm not sure and he may not be willing to take a drop.

Wouldn't surprise me to see PSG pick him up in the summer on the cheap

Re: Samir Nasri

We need Nasri and another flair midfielder

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have a lot more attacking midfielders in their squad than we do.....compare Chelsea's performance at Arsenal in the League Cup away to City at Newcastle where it was all very workmanlike until Silva came on and Milner went to his best position

Re: Samir Nasri

I would sign Mata from Chelsea obviously dropped down the pecking order and is a mate of Merlin. Sell Garcia (although he has improved) drop Milner into centre of midfield where he belongs and use Mata and Navas as the wide players.

No slight to Milner, but I see him more in the Fernandinho/Yaya role and flourishing when he's there. I only see Garcia getting significant time when there are a lot of injuries to CBs and when we want a slightly more defensive setup by dropping a striker as we played against Chelsea. Garcia can play that role well. Milner works better when roving forward.

Back on topic, I was laughing at the obvious fear yesterday when Nasri had the ball and was advancing on the Norwich players. They really wanted no part of him.
