How I saw it, he had a couple of early errors, but he spent half the night covering for the awol and useless Sagna.

It was a tough tough night for him last night and he did grow into it. Still shouldn't be making those mistakes he did... we weren't punished for them but you'd expect more from our captain. He seems to make mistakes in every game at the moment and rather than being our dependable defender is often the one to make mistakes. Hoping next season sees an improvement.
Yes VK made mistakes. The last mistake he had he was saved by the Goal Post. The goal post had his back. Else it would have been another 'world class goal' that our GK couldn't save & not at fault.
The fact of the matter is that VK is a leader and one of the best top 3 CB in the PL.
Yes he spent half the night covering the defense & making every defender (including GK ) looked good by limiting Barca's greats to 'poor shots'.
The whole notion of finding VK at fault for the recent City's poor performances is plain misleading. The defense (which includes the GK the last line of defense) collectively is responsible.
When the GK is up to par (which he was the last ) credit should also be given to the back 4 or defense too.
When the GK is not up to par (in many instances for not making WC saves) when the rest of the team is he should be cited for it.
The irony of it is that every Hart fan is lauding him for his performances only in our recent CL LOSSES !
When we win we gave the WHOLE TEAM CREDIT! Even tho' Hart had a poor performance.
When we don't win we dissed our outfield team players when the fact is that we leaked goals (no 'WC saves') to an opponent that we outperformed.
