Fucked up the penalty but Aguero has missed those before now. Shaky defensively today but he put in the kind of crosses that our strikers should be relishing and burying on a regular basis. Best crosser of the ball at the club. Doesn't hide either.

Do you go Pete? If so, you surely can't have been impressed with him today, especially the last 7/8 minutes which were awful.
I went and saw him win every header pretty much, put some fantastic balls into dangerous areas and struggle with his man one on one conceding a few crosses as well as a couple of rash clearances.
Basically he did some things very well and other things not so well.
Certainly doesn't deserve the stick he's getting.

Another good game from Aleks. Good composure on the ball, a few dangerous crosses and decent defending!

Shame about the penalty miss

Yes I am a season ticket holder and have been to over 1000 City matches and in my opinion he is possibly the best left back we have ever had so I await the list of the better ones !

Hmmm personally think Clichy has performed better although he's fallen flat the last season and a half mainly due to injuries! Other than that our other left backs have been utter wank in the past so to pick Clichy and Kolarov as our best two is like saying a kick in the balls is better than a fist up the arse!

We will just have to have different opinions on this. Offensively he is ok. He just doesn't defend well enough. Standing 5 yards away from the crosser with his arms behind his back is not good defending for me. He can't or won't close them down because he doesn't have the pace to recover if beaten. The crosser almost always gets his cross in which thankfully we defend well but eventually one will find its target.

Best left back ever, WOW. Glyn Pardoe. Andy Hinchcliffe. Terry Phelan. All much much better. AK good going forward but average defending. He put some great balls in today that Aguero would have latched on to but his defending was below par. Any professional that can't put a penalty on target shouldn't take one again, thanks, but no thanks. Looking forward to Gael being fit and the pair of them putting pressure on each other to up their game.
