I'm for Alex. Ok he missed a pen but still a great player. Get off his back. He's City.....Ok.

Wasn't the fact he missed the penalty for me but more of the fact that he took the ball off Sterling, Raheem was not happy at all and rightly so as the lad had a certain goal elbowed off the line then he won another penalty and denied a goal scoring opportunity by his team mate.

I've never liked the whole taking the ball off team mates lark unless you're losing/drawing and the said player taking the ball is a natural penalty taker.

Had every right to he is probably a designated penalty taker

Aguero and Yaya are our designated penalty takers, kolarov has only ever taken penalties in shoot outs or pre season friendlies and has only ever scored once in about 6. He's not a penalty taker, he may be confident in taking them but he's awful at them, Joe Hart has a better conversion rate.

You saw the same Kolorov as me then. I'm amazed more people didn't see this today. I think he gets away with it from some for the few crosses he puts in. Defensively he just isn't very good.
[Quoting you from your reply on the Otamendi thread to save it getting filled with a discussion on Kolarov]

To be fair I think most people do agree with us on this one. Fairly common knowledge that Kolarov has a great cross/freekick on him but is way below par defensively. Guess the toss up is would people rather we got a better defender in place with less attacking ability as I'm not sure there's many who do both extremely well.

Good comparison for me is Sagna, thought he had his worst attacking performance this season today, poor crosses, lots of misplaced passes in the final third, but good defensively - see a lot more complaints about Kolarov than Sagna; so for me (& I'll assume majority based off of comments on here), I'd definitely lean to the more defensive option & lose a bit of Kolarov's attacking prowess (which in truth has totaled 0 assists 1 goal so far in PL to Sagnas 1 assist 0 goals) as there's a lot of goals in our squad without the need to sacrifice so much defensively.

I thought Aleks scored a pen in Munich in the 3 - 2 win!

I'd had a bit to drink so I might be wrong?
