I`m in your corner Rammy.Can`t understand this cult worshipping for a bang average player.The twat was more interested in trying to wrestle their player to the ground from that corner,instead of getting his fucking full head onto the ball.
The guy is a complete liability as a defender.

And he adds next to fuck all on the attack either! he puts a killer cross in about once in every 5 matches. The love in for him on here is pathetic.

There has to be a better full back on the horizon for us than kolorov. He's so rigid in how he runs and controls the ball. He's not been good enough the last few games and needs some time on the bench.

I find it disgusting too. However I can't help myself. I'd be a liar if I said "oh I love him". Respect him for the titles, however currently can't stand him and would love to see the back of him.

I'm not gonna blame him for the goal. That was simply a devlish corner kicks by Watson. That said, I've never liked Kolarov.
I like intelligence in footballers. Good ball skill, good decision maker, and team first thinkers. Kolarov is none of those. He is a better defender than he gets credit for, and a poorer player going forward than most think. But he is absolutely horrible, when it comes to general play. Balls breakdown too often when it goes to him. His passing range is limited, his decion making is often awful, his movements are decent, but when he needs to do more than whip a cross in immediately, the outcomes are generally average to poor.

We need to have very few poor interplay players.

Sweet left foot but in no way is he the best left back in the country. His passing and ball control was dreadful today. He has no idea how to pace a pass to a player, that one to Sergio near the touchline was a perfect example. Clichy is a far better left back and I'd even take Cresswell, Monreal, Shaw, and Baines before Kolorav. Sick of him going hot and cold every couple of games.

agree, both Kolarov and Sagna are not good enough and have made countless errors in defensive duties. It is time we got a quality LB and RB in the summer. Some will obviously come back and say that they are, to that I would say that if Pep were to arrive in the summer Sagna and Kolarov in my opinion would be out.

Kolarov has been a good player for us and has contributed in the past, however if we want to go to the next level then an upgrade is needed now next summer, as for sagna I never agreed with signing him anyway even if he was supposed to just be cover for Zaba, past history of switching off in games when playing for arsenal

We get unjust stick for bad defence from media and punter, they are just short of shit to talk about to be honest. But a weakness i do see at the back is sagna / kolarov partnership. We have attacking power, we need defensive full backs, that is why zabba has been missed just as much as vinny

This view is wrong. We need attacking fullbacks. That is what Zaba was. Sure he was good defensively too. But he was always way better going forward even though he didn't get the acolades for it. Sagna has gotten better going forward of late and that helps.

Part of the problem is having poor footballing defenders. Sure, I'm not saying we should go sign a player who absolutely can't defend, but the ability to join plays and help string intricate passes together is more important if you as me.

I don't disagree with that first point, we'd be far better off with fullbacks who can play, but for me you need a blend; sure Marcelo might help us going forward but he wouldn't drastically improve us as we'd still be just as crap at the back, and great at attacking or not he's not going to add a goal a game himself. Zab was close to perfect in the sense he could do both roles to a high standard & that's the sort of player we need on each side - I'd take someone who is 7/10 going forward & 7/10 defending rather than someone who is 5/10 defending & 9/10 going forward personally. We should have enough attack power in our front 4 that having a fullback whose good at attacking rather than fantastic at attacking should be more than enough.

I think he was ok yesterday it was defensively at least one of his better games, he cut the ball out well afew times and got his body between the ball and deeney which was vital. He is too confident on the ball, picks the wrong option alot and could has easily avoided the own goal. I disagree with Marcelo he is great in spain but wouldnt suit the league all he has to do is attack as there is such a gulf in class between Real and most of the teams in the BBVA, our league is alot tougher with every team a different challenge and alot less protection for the ref. Gaya or Bernat could be better shout as I think they would to adjust to the demands of the league better maybe even Amavi from villa 3 assists in 12 games for a struggling new team. Kolarov is a decent player but i wouldnt be to bothered if he were to leave i think there are much better defensive and offer as much going forward.

Just needs to know when to shoot and when not to. I thought the first one was a ridiculous attempt but the second was worth a try from there and wasn't that bad an effort. His 70 yard attempted cross field pass on the other hand was just wank

Just look at that list for a sec. Shaws made of glass decent gowing foward but I would say alex is better both are similar defensively because the both bomb foward. Shaw is younger and english but like I say made of glass and no better than alex.Monreal decent defender offers nothing going foward tho. Baines on the decline now no where near what he use to be and what is he in his 30s now, and then Creswell well tbh yes hes having a good season at west ham but what has he done before this season.. Not much. And ive seen enough of clichy in his time with us to no he offers the square root of fuck all atticking wise ( which is vital to the way we play) but agree to a certain extent becuae of his pace that he does track back better tha alex. Honestly would have kolarov bombing down the left flank delivering dangerous crosses before any of them

Without doubt. We're lucky he has been more than competent in Zaba's absence.
