Can't pick the right word for it, but it was sort of emotional when he came on today. He's only been away for 6 weeks and he got a reception like he'd been away for years.
David came back up to the box after the game. He was very touched by his welcome back.
He is glad to have had a few minutes to build his confidence with the ankle.
He is training again tomorrow & he will play v Hull.
Hopefully the next bit will make you smile...
we were watching the first half of the Utd game & he punched the air with delight at Vardy's goal and was pissed off with the equaliser on half time... Just like us!

How weird was it to see black boots!? Of all the colours to have a football boot! Why not a normal colour like magenta or luminous orange? It'll never catch on!
Was thinking that..he was like a Spanish Mike Tyson..without the raping and biting
I've previously posted about this, but it bears repeating: like Colin, it's not just his contributions on the pitch, but his conduct off it that makes him such a credit to City. We are hugely privileged to have such a level headed, well rounded individual at the club. He's moved his working life to somewhere that is culturally alien to him and simply got in with the job, and excelled at it. As you say, he's given us his peak years and without any discernible mither either. We should be very grateful for what he's given the club and what he's enabled it to become through in no small part to his efforts and commitment to it.
A true City legend.
