Hard for a player like Silva to operate when there's zero movement around him. Stick him in the Arsenal team and he'd show ozil what a genuine world class no.10 can do. It's not his fault but if we're going to play like we currently are with little to no movement then Silva shouldn't be in the team and that pains me to say.

This is bluemoon - when Silva isn't firing its always someone or something elses fault.

Needs to get a grip like all our squad and show some balls against opposition lets face it the main we should be bossing rather than the other way around.

When we play some really decent sides we will look like schoolboys if we keep this level of performance up.

He like many others are well paid and currently not justifying their wages by any stretch.

The whole team are not attacking effectively. I didn't see much movement last night for either Dave or Kev to find people in space. Sergio looks detached and is not making the incisive runs through the channels that we used to see frequently. Our full backs offered little offensively. Most telling is the speed that the ball is passed, we are just too slow and predictable. Unlike some, I think our attacking as a team is more concerning than our defence, particularly away from home. Don't know what the answer is but would start Navas away from home, would play him and Stirling wide, silva or de Bruyne in centre attacking midfield with Aguero up front. Dinho and Delph behind and Yaya as an impact sub. At least we would have some pace and balance. To be honest, Dave, Kev, Sergio, Yaya are not world class when we don't have the ball. None of them press consistently and defend that well in the opponents half. Wonder what difference Pep will make to this. Maybe @Bluewhit can give a perspective of how Daves feeling just now.

He has had plenty of chances in the number ten role since he's come back from injury. The problem is he's been piss poor in every game, and on his current form, shouldn't be in the starting XI.

Nail on the head here for me. Especially away from home it has to be ONE of KDB or Silva with the two wingers and two of Fernandinho/fernando/toure/delph behind. Much more balance in the side and more work ethic in the team. Not sure whats quite wrong with silva at the moment, he seems half the player we know he can be but he also has plenty of company when saying that about players this year.
