Against any decently organised team we seem incapable of controlling the middle without his genius. Clearly there were other problems today as well but he's a huge miss when it comes to winning key games.

What's clear is we can cope without 1, 2 or even 3 of our star players for a couple of games where the momentum of a good run can continue. But if you lose them for an extended spell. it takes its toll. Exactly what we saw last year and it's repeating again here. Fortunately, Aguero and Silva look like they will be fully back by next week and there if we go on a run, we can still be top by New Years Day (and beyond!)

He is getting pain again not severe but still pain. It's when he twists or turns. Something got lost in translation on Thurs because subs bench was the aim.
I have asked him if it needs surgery it was a definite no.

Maybe another week he said.

These last 2 games have been crying out for him. Never mind.

Would surgery have been an option straight after the injury @Bluwhit ? Did they expect it would take so long to heal?

He's obviously had issues with his ankles for sometime to varying degrees and had played under some duress in the past.

Like Kun , VK and others with a history of injuries we won't move forward and take the premiership by the scruff of the neck if the players we have available in their absence are not committed, don't have the work rate and mental edge to instil fear and nervousness in the opposition.

There are not many sides in the premiership that are too concerned about coming to COMS and they know if they press us and are organised they have every chance of beating us.

In their remaining time at the club we know they will be out for spells due to injury and in some cases long spells and the reality is we need to bring players through that can handle the riggers of the game better injury wise and are suitable long term replacements both in quality and mental strength.

As many have said we lack leadership through out the side and are very fragile during games at times no matter who we are up against.

Part of that comes from management and unless we address it properly we will unfortunately have too many of these results for our liking.

You really hope that this current crop of players are hurting badly today and ensure that kind of rubbish we dished out will never happen again but given that most have them have tasted some domestic success and probably know they won't go beyond the last 16 in Europe they are not hurting nearly as much as the ardent supporter today.
