Re: Mangala

Thought he was excellent today.
Sunderland parked the bus and looked for a mistake but there were non as Mangala got to the break ball before any Sunderland player.
Did pretty well subsequent to YaYa's 'Goal of the Year" too.

He had a bad game against Burnley but was really good today

Sunderland scored 2, but really Dimichelis and Mangala totally dominated their forwards, and snuffed out almost every attack. Mangala made some good interceptions and what I like about him is the quality of his distribution when he gets the ball.

My prediction is that he'll become the latest in a long line of players to make his detractors eat lashing of humble pie. Get behind this lad because he's going to be a top player for us.

I couldn't agree more.

My MotM again today. He was outstanding and gave further proof of why we paid what we did for him. He got his defensive colleagues out of trouble ons few occasions and he looked in control all game.

According to the matchday App, he won 100% of the tackles he was involved in and had 93% passing accuracy on 27 passes.

Not bad for 'a waste of money'!

Re: Mangala

When he bailed Demi out after that short backpass, just out of this world. He had absolutely no right to get to it first, incredible pace and shows that he's really switched on. Quite possibly saved us the game to be honest. He has that pace that will bail out other defenders time and time again. It goes without saying, but had that been Magala underhitting the backpass, Demi wouldn't of been able to get anywhere near it and Mangala would probably be being lynched on here. Now if we can just get a few corners in his direction!

Re: Mangala

Quality performance today, as a previous poster said,we need to get behind the lad because he's gonna be a fantastic player for city for years to come

Re: Mangala

Thought he played really well today. As I've said earlier in the thread I think he's going to be absolutely mint once he settles in fully.

His concentration was spot on throughout today and I don't remember any of those heart-in-mouth type scenarios he seems fond of.

Re: Mangala

Credit where it's due, I was critical of him last game but he was flawless today. Difference was their limited attacks and having Clichy at LB, but nonetheless a great performance.

Would also add that MDM had an excellent second half of the season and was instrumental in us lifting the title last season...Mangala can do the same if he stays consistent

Re: Mangala

Solid performance from him today, an excellent athlete who will only get better with experience. Patience is the key with Mangala.
