Ranieri shown why he is a quality manager last night. He changed his usual system so that the inferior players at his disposal compared to the opposition were able to pick up a result, which maintains their momentum.

I think saying he lost his bottle is a bit silly really. Ranieri done last night what a lot of us have been calling for our manager to do for a long time.

Fair play to Ranieri, I think he is a top quality manager.

I also think he is a top manager and said that on here many times this season. Amazing what he is done with a side nearly relegated last season. Having said that if they had played there usual tactics think they would have beat us last night. Vardy was clearly not right. Ranieri was too respectful and yes he did lose his bottle last night which I think was based on the Liverpool result. Not denying he is a class act as my previous posts have stated.

He was excellent last night.

Not sure why but the mistakes he makes gets blown out of proportion. Even if it's a tiny mistake the media, bluemoaners, etc... Are on his back. The only way Quim doesn't get any stick is if he plays a perfect game with zero mistakes, which is impossible for any footballer.

I think it's brilliant that's he's staying behind to do more training, not many footballers would do that.
Tiny mistakes? Those mistakes can cost us games

I will have to disagree with you there mate. If Leicester had been a little more expansive then we would have given them a tonking imo. Ranieri got his tactics perfect and if Vardy had taken that chance when given the opportunity then people would have been calling it a tactical masterclass.

Will leave it there mate as I do not want to derail the Mangala talk, who I thought had a very good game last night. Mangala takes a lot of stick and he has made some howlers. He is not being helped though by the manager. The manager does not seem to understand the principal of a settled defence. Komany's injuries have not helped but the manager changes full backs for no apparent reason and it does not benefit anyone. One thing has resonated throughout our managers tenure at the club in the fact that inconsistent selection of the defence has equalled inconsistent performances on the pitch, with Joe at Spurs being the prime example. Mangala is also not helped by the lack of protection in front of him and by Kolarov thinking hes an outside half. I was critical of Mangala after the Arsenal game but on reflection he is often hung out to dry by our formation and tactics.

To be fair, I do see his point. Otamendi makes mistakes which seem to go totally un noticed or sometimes might go unpunished so there's no comeback on them, whereas Mangala's do often get highlighted.

Last night was a good example actually. Otamendi did a great piece of defending, before stupidly hitting a fairly comfortable clearance into the back of a Leicester player. The ball broke and Mangala fouled Ulloa on the edge of the area. It was a stupid foul but it was also a really careless clearance. Guess which mistake the pundits concentrated on?

His pace was a great asset last night against Vardy. He had a decent enough game and hopefully he can build on it.

The thing with otamendi is that although he can be a little rash he has shown that hes good on the ball and is capable bearing in mind its his first season, its mangalas second season and hes still making mistakes.

It is his second season, but he's not had many solid and consistent runs in the team, and when he has, he has shown some good form.

I still don't even think Otamendi is that good with the ball. He is ok, he is better than Mangala but he is a millions miles away from what somebody like Pep will want.

Honestly, in my view, Otamendi's different class to Mangala. Just different class. That said, the lad had a good game last night, and must be given full credit for it.
In any case, these two are our centre backs for the season, and we'd better get used to it. I think this season will be a total wash-out for Vinny. So if we are title winners come May, these two will have played their part. And if we're not, well, there's others to point the finger at as well. It is a whole team that defends, as soon as they lose the ball, even if the centre of the back four is your last port of call.
Psst: get Denayer back, as soon as poss…

Pleased to see Eli putting in a good performance. I agree there is no point crying about Komps. His season looks to be a write off and we are going to have to rely on the two we have got who are at least fit to play. Let's hope that they continue to improve.

Don't think Otamendi has been great in Europe and has had some poor games as well. Think Mangala will be just fine next season when we get rid of this crazy system. Beckenbauer would have looked crap within this system.

Leicester were [last night] (and are, they're just on a good run) a very average, one dimensional football team. How they are where they are is a complete mystery. Stoke Palace and West Ham are all better than Leicester.
However you describe their manner of play, they are, without doubt, the form team of the premier league and have been for all of the season.Until quite recently, Stoke were in the bottom four.leicester,s strikers have caused opposing defenders all sorts of problems all season thus far, the main one being they keep scoring goals past them and outwitting their defensive tactics to do so..there is in fact no tougher opponent than Leicester, this season, so far.
That is not a mystery,Miss Marple is not required.
Show respect where it is due.
