Played well against Leicester and had a shocker against Watford , which sums Mangala up nicely , one step forward and then one/two steps back , he a fine athlete , but thick as f*ck , he couldnt read a bedtime story.

just said only 3 defenders and vinny can be classed as playing well Mangala is no worse than the otter, but hopefully with youth on his side he will improve, same as ottamendi I hope next year after a full season he will be better, our midfield never protects the defence and we look vulnerable all the time, but when your left back goes missing for most of the game the job is harder.

For me if Zabba is ready I would rather see Mangal tried at left back (if clichy isn't fit) where he played at youth level and Sanga deputising for Vinny at RCB

Zabba -- Sanga --- Otamendi --- Mangala
I know what your saying but whether kola is there or not ,it has no bearing on simple ball control and decision making.i would like to give the benefit to ,but just feels like we are pissing in the wind with him.

Mmm
Has Sagna played consistently at RCB before ?

It's incredible we keep arguing about this. He has the odd good game (though I've never seen one), does the odd good thing, but for the most part he is TERRIBLE. Unless we find another solution, he will cost us hugely this year. And anyone who thinks he'll still be with us next year is barking.

Seems to me his confidence is completely shot. Shit scared of making mistakes and therefore dithers about and fucks up all over the place. I am not sure I see a happy ending for him in a blue shirt, but equally I won't be remotely surprised if he leaves and goes on to be a star defender for some other team(s). It could go either way for me. He's got pace to burn and when given the task of taking a single striker (e.g. as against Costa) out of the game, he can do a fine job.

Forget the price tag, the kid's a Human Being. He'll make his mistakes and his price tag is based on how he performed for Porto. What was the balance like in hat team, then or what were the league's strengths for that matter compared to ours? He's genuinely finding it tougher.

That said, none of Watford's strikers scored. Neither, so the back four did their jobs. No, it wasn't pretty and it can't always be so.

Igahlo has been scoring for fun and he came against a brick wall in Ela. As for the corner, he's tried shepherding it out in the past, only to have the ball nicked off his toes and he got slated for it. Today, he, inadvertently, touches it out (not convinced he got a touch anyway) and he gets slated for it. The kid can't win!!

He's had two tough games in different weather conditions and came up trumps against both in form strikers.

Give him a fooking break!

I don't want a centre back to have the odd good game and the odd desperate game.

I want a solid 7/10 no frills every week and if he has a bad one it should be a genuine surprise.
