Forget the price tag, the kid's a Human Being. He'll make his mistakes and his price tag is based on how he performed for Porto. What was the balance like in hat team, then or what were the league's strengths for that matter compared to ours? He's genuinely finding it tougher.

That said, none of Watford's strikers scored. Neither, so the back four did their jobs. No, it wasn't pretty and it can't always be so.

Igahlo has been scoring for fun and he came against a brick wall in Ela. As for the corner, he's tried shepherding it out in the past, only to have the ball nicked off his toes and he got slated for it. Today, he, inadvertently, touches it out (not convinced he got a touch anyway) and he gets slated for it. The kid can't win!!

He's had two tough games in different weather conditions and came up trumps against both in form strikers.

Give him a fooking break!
A quite mind boggling assessment.....!

Reading some of the bile on here for a lad who has a good game and then gets dropped if all are fit, plays with a partner who naturally would play left side like him so the CB positions are unbalanced and he has to cover for the invisible left back most of the game, He has the potential to be a great centre back, is first choice for the french national side and trys his hardest(and fucks up at times). But I am not suprised the shit he gets Redmond got it, Edgehill, Kernaghan Goater at first etc. no different know to any other time, It has been decided he's shit and won't get a fair crack till some fans decide he should. I partially blame the manager, he fucks about with the defence and let Deneyere leave plays Kolarov when clichys fit.Mangala has messed up at time but I refuse to give up that he won't come good

hahaha of course its Kolarovs fault

As an overall assessment of him in his time here at present, he's been a major disappointment.

Really didn't realise quite how raw this lad was when he signed, and there's an argument he shouldn't be for what we paid for him. We were warned by a few Porto fans though, as I recall.

Can't write him off yet though, because in a more disiplined and settled side he should improve.

Guardiola will be his final roll of the dice at City. Albeit I get the impression he could fall behind in the pecking order even to a Denayer given his quality with the ball and Pep's fondness for technical composed footballers at the back. Rumours of Laporte as well.

Mangala has to end this season strongly. About time he showed us what the hype was about and rose to the plate.

Agree with most of that, thank you!

Well, I suppose the Mangala haters are giving Kolarov a break...

Still, you have to hate someone, right?

/sigh

Very dramatic , hate is a strong word , i have never hated any player that pulls on a city shirt and never will , but i will comment on this forum if they are simply not good enough , outside of this forum i defend the club and players to the hilt.

that's all you got from my comment? Not all is Kolarovs fault as I stated, unbalanced centre back partnership, no midfield cover magement formations etc, you missed all that? but Kolarov is positionally terrible, but i still like him as a player on and off the field

Indeed, hate is a strong word, but it's clear as a fanbase we seem to need someone to...'dislike' - we seem to need a villain, why is that do you think?

Asking as I honestly don't know why it seems to be a requirement to being a fan...

Dunno what's "mind boggling" about the truth??!

Did their strikers score? Er, no.

Was Mangala the only player skating around? No, as well.

Is the price tag his fault? Er, I think that's 3 no's in a row.

He resisted his usual charge out into the midfield today as well as the Leicester game.

I'm encouraged he's forcing discipline within himself.

You know the form. =)
