I really don't know what the future holds for Mangala - he certainly isn't helped by those around him who are also struggling in so far as they seem too concerned on their own form. He will either sink or swim under Pep who will not tolerate a centre back who appears to not have a sharp footballing brain.

He'd improve if he wasn't constantly covering 2 positions on the pitch, what we need is better left full backs, so that he can focus on his job.
Agree with this. I think we've always been light down the left with either Clichy or Kolarov, neither of them constantly pose a threat going forward and they both fall short with basic positional defending, as you say often leaving Mangala in danger covering 2 positions.
It will be interesting to see what happens when a new coach comes in and starts to remedy some glaring problems with our team.

A very shaky start today but overall did OK - the thing is, he keeps making the same mistakes(running out of position, giving away cheap freekicks etc) and there seems no signs of them being irradiated from his game

I don't care if he has a good 70mins V some fodder at home, he needs to play well for 90mins on a regular basis without looking like he is a fuck up waiting to happen - unfortunaley, in his 50 games this hasn't happened once

He's like a clumsy Dad playing with his kids. Always looks like he's about to commit a stupid foul everytime the opposition have the ball around him. I think he'll be gone when Pep gets here.

Can see the 4 Cb's being

Kompany, Otamendi

Stones, Denayer

If he's got a general like Vinny telling him what to do I think he'll be fine because he has the physical qualities. No Vinny and we see the headless chicken routine. Otamendi will come good once his feet are under the table I feel

I think Otamendi's been brilliant so far personally. The reason i dont see it working out with Mangala is due to the fact i dont believe he's comfortable enough on the ball. Pep likes calm footballers who are extremely comfortable on the ball (see stones)

Should never be allowed near the first team ever again..But..and there is always a but, if he doesn't, then Demic-useless plays.. It's like having the choice of putting your knob in a food blender whilst turned on(the blender not me) or letting Stevie Wonder give you a bollock shave with a cutthroat. Either way there's gonna be carnage!! For our club to be in this position with these two clowns is a fucking nightmare that's come true. We desperately need either Denayer back or we sign a proven centre half, I know we can't keep bringing in new players at a whim, but what else can we do? These two are going to cost us the league if Vinny carries on with these injuries. But in everything I've said, do you trust us to bring in a defender of top class quality.? Neither do I.
