Anyone think that villa thought they could get around the release clause, so our guys got on it and, and proved it to be legit?

Your probably talking about some teenagers, sat in the holte I couldn't hear any booing of Milner

Barry deserved to get slaughtered after his press bollocks. It's a bit of unfair comparison, you sign the best player in our side and we sign an over the hill centre half who can't get in yours. I'm sure you'd be clapping Aguero when he turned out Liverpool at the Etihad.
You'll be able to test that theory on the 21st of November when Milner comes back with Liverpool. See what kind of a reception he gets.

I'd wait until he lands us a player that is wanted by several rivals like KDB or Pogba before I big him up too much. Sterling and Delph were sitters.

That's a pointless comparison, he was not your starting CM. he should have been and he would still be there and you would have a better midfield.

city fans were pleased to send him off knowing safe in the knowledge he wasn't good enough to get in ahead of Kompany and lescott.

If love to see you clap your heart out Aguero heart out playing for Red Scouse at the Etihad.

Anway off topic. whilst Delph isn't Wiltshere or Pogba, he's a genuine likeable character and he does try hard, it might be a winner for all parties.
1) Kompany wasn't used as a centre half at City until 6 months after Dunne departed, and Mancini had taken over.
2) We were all very sceptical about Lescott, and certainly didn't believe him to be a huge upgrade on Dunne at first.

So yeah, legend left for a rival, then applauded when he scored against us.

When was the last time you lot did that, even when a player didn't come to "big bad Cit€h"?

No he shouldn't and no we wouldn't, he's not as good as Fernandinho or Yaya.

Did you miss SWP? Literally the only hope in a club facing relegation.

We loved him even after he left and gave him great reception when he came back.

Maybe that's the difference between us, where we understand players going onto other things are ok?

The thing is, you're using Aguero to Liverpool. You are not equivalent to Liverpool. A better impression is if a Bournemouth player went to Chelsea.
