Short term contract, DUE to sign for New York Jan 1st.

Somebody has messed this up, considering how a new arrangement has been imminent for 2-3 weeks according to the manager.

Reading it, I think the loan deal needs to start in January.
His contract is due to start, so can we assume he has actually signed it ? or is it due to be signed, or is it a right cock up !!

Surely Soriano will take everyone's views into account (including NYCFC) and then make a decision on whats best for the group.

Yes. He will. Which is why Frank is staying beyond Dec 31st.

We also disagree as to which would be better for the group (a group run with the interest of City at it's very heart) between him being a component in beating Barca and helping City to a title, or going back to nycfc on time.

Happy to agree to disagree on what is best for the group.

I also don't have an issue with an extension until the training camp at the CFA.

But if it was just about whats best for MCFC with no regard for anyone else, given Pellegrini has said that he wants Lampard for the season then that is what you think will happen right?

UEFA FFP city have to not over spend on wages aswell and keeping frank may have to loan somebody out or sell but for me fuck uefa and just spend big money on new players and fuck champions league

I'm really confused about this. At the time, nearly every report said that Lamps had signed a 6 month contract (*) and according to the FA's own rules (I checked!), loan player's registrations are valid until the end of their contract. Therefore his registration would be valid into - and possibly up to the end of - January, surely?

(*) There was even a report in the DailyFail referring to the fact that he would be 'excused' from playing at what would be the last match of his loan period, ie Chelsea @ Stamford Bridge Jan 31st.

To be fair, he's a good player. I wouldn't mind him pitching up at the Etihad next summer. Or Christian Eriksen, for that matter.
