Player topic: Frank Lampard (2014/15)

Re: Frank Lampard

Respect.

That was hard for the lad,and I felt for him...... but fuck me it made me happy!!

Re: Frank Lampard

The farewell to the Chelsea fans at the end was brilliant to watch. Kept turning back and clapping them over and over. Clapped the City fans also which was class too.

I can understand him going to the cockney cunts but for fuck's sake, once you've passed them, acknowledge the fans who are paying your wages.

Re: Frank Lampard

He still has that rare quality of arriving in the right place at the right time, use him sparingly and as an impact sub and he will be a useful addition for first part of season

Frank refusing to refer to 'City' or 'us' or 'we', constantly referring to City as 'this club' and 'the side i play for'

doesnt bother me, just keep scoring goals!!

Nah, referred to us as "we" several times in his OS interview, didn't see the Sky one

Agree, bad decision to loan him out.He looked good in the pre season games too.Me thinks he is a bench warmer at valencia, hardly hearing about him now that he is off there. If we could get him back in jan, then it would be good.

We can't get him back in Jan as the loan of Zuculini to Valencia I think is season long. Thus come Jan Lampard is gone and mid Jan to end of Feb Toure wont be here unless he decides to retire from playing for the Ivory Coast.

The African Cup runs 17th Jan - 8th Feb 2015 and teams meet up about 2 weeks before thus Toure will miss some key games for City (Everton, Arsenal Chelsea in particular)

January 10: Everton (A)

January 17: Arsenal (H)

January 31: Chelsea (A)

February 7: Hull City (H)

February 11: Stoke (A)

and any FA Cup game on Jan 24th weekend.

A couple of other points:
I also thought another good reason to sign Mangala rather than Benatia was that Benatia (for Morocco) would also have gone off to the African Nation Cup in mid Jan with Toure, but as yet of course Mangala has not been used anyway, but hopefully soon if not today.

In addition could not the wages being paid to Lampard not have have helped possibly fund the wages for a loan deal for Falcao instead of letting Utd grab him ?
Oh,sorry didn't know about that, but hey we didn't play that bad against arsenal without yaya, did we?.If fernando, fernandinho and milner are injury free then i don't think it will be that big of a problem as people perceive it to be.Anyway got to find a proper replacement for him next season.Regarding mangala, think age was also a deciding factor, but don't see the logic in not giving him any minutes on the pitch till now.

Ivory Coast could easily not make it.
