I can't believe some people are getting upset about this. After playing for Chelsea for over 10 years, becoming a club legend for them in that time of course he'll clap their fans. Especially when they showed the class to still appreciate him whilst playing for a rival club.

Lamps is a proper professional and showed this not only by playing well for us against 'his' team, but being prepared to stay professional and bust a gut to get in a scoring position. It'd be easy to bottle it and hide a bit in midfield if he didn't want to hurt his old club, but he didn't - he scored a vital goal for us because he's a great pro and a fucking outstanding player.

I couldn't give a shit if he claps his old fans or sleeps in a Chelsea shirt as long as he performs well for us on the pitch, which he did yesterday!

Spot on JW.Some Blues need to give their heads a fucking good wobble.

Re: Frank Lampard

Imagine, someone like Sergio leaves us after say ten years and then when he comes back and we as decent fans applaud him, is it really that unreasonable of him to clap the fans that have idolised him all that time?

Frank Lampard did that and nothing else, he did it after the game and I for one applaud him for doing it!

Would you like to analyse Yaya Toure's demeanor after most matches for the past 4 years? Because he more often that not, fucks off with barely a clap, let alone a smile.
But I guess he doesn't do more for the fans of the opposite team

No, he's not a legend at another club in which he spent 13 years. So there should be more issue with the club that pay his wages, have sang his name for 4 years and backed him no matter what. But then again, probably not, thus this is all a non-story.

It's not about him applauding less than chelskis, people. It's about him not want to be here.

Yes, maybe I've digged too much and it's too early to judge (as I said, it was my 1st impression, I hasn't thought about his relations with chelsea), but I want to see Lampard showing some respect to City and wish being here. Hope he shows it (not only by scoring goals, what is, of course, very good, but only a part of it).

I admit he could have some tough feelings then so it was hard for him to react normal + now it seems like his heart is unfortunately with chelsea, and I can understand it, but it is hard to take that he cares about his old team more than about the City. If he was a full professional, he'd kept his emotions, but he upset City fans a little bit (you can here whistling after he just goes by near the stand with City fans). As I said, I'm very glad he's a pro on the field

Re: Frank Lampard
