Not quite: Lampard has right wing views, is openly supportive of the Conservatives and has even indicated that he wants to go into politics.
It takes a ridiculous lack of self awareness and cynicism to believe that just everyone who disagrees with you politically is evil. If you weren't blinded by your ideology it would be easy for you to see that Lampard is a class act.
Completely agree. Some of the kindest, most generous, thoughtful people I know are Tories. To paint people's character in such simple terms is hopelessly simplistic and more than a little depressing.

And just for a bit of balance: some of the most miserable, humourless, surly people I know are Labour supporters.
Why are you bringing me into it? ****.

I thought you were UKIP?

Legend of the Premier league. We have been lucky enough to have him for 2 season. Hope the kids learnt from him.

Shame in not there tomorrow to give home the send off he deserves. Unlike that Scouse circus last week.

Gerrard is like Shearer and Francesco Totti in the sense that he chose his boyhood club and regardless adoration of 'his' people rather than testing himself for a very top club.

Lampard on the other hand made himself arguably the most important player of a genuine title contender for over a decade, scoring as many goals as the greatest strikers this league has seen.

The way he's behaved while he's been here is testament to the class and humility of the man; genuine legend. Hope he manages to score tomorrow.

1 season...

A player i didn't realise how good he was until he played in a City shirt and that was at 36, imagine what i would have thought at 26!

He is worthy of the word "legend"

He's done a good job for us this season, i wish him well in the US, he's going to need it as he's joining up with a pub team judging by their results.

From the few NYCFC games I've seen on TV, they're about 50/50 pub team/decent players. Not sure how much difference Frank will make on his own though - it looks to me like the defence is where they need the most help.

NYC is a complete new club and therefore a complete new squad with players who never were together ever. It's already an achievement if they stay away from relegation.

Lampard did ok for us being an old Chelsea icon on loan of some sort. That's how l remember him by. Dzeko WILL be remembered by me in a totally different much more positive City kind of way!!
