Player topic: Frank Lampard (2014/15)

.A. said:
Gerrard is like Shearer and Francesco Totti in the sense that he chose his boyhood club and regardless adoration of 'his' people rather than testing himself for a very top club.

Lampard on the other hand made himself arguably the most important player of a genuine title contender for over a decade, scoring as many goals as the greatest strikers this league has seen.

The way he's behaved while he's been here is testament to the class and humility of the man; genuine legend. Hope he manages to score tomorrow.
Correct. And I'll give him a decent applause for the quality of the man and his career even though it wasn't with us.

I'll be giving our boys a bigger appreciative send off though.

That prick Andy Dunn summing up Lampard on Sunday supplement just said ' he's not great at anything, just good, you can't call him a great finisher"
I think his goal stats indicate otherwise and he'd see it if he got his tongue out of slippy G's ring piece

Hope Gerrard gets syphilis.

Frankie wasn't our best ever player but he came here under awkward circumstances and paid nothing but total respect to our club and our fanbase, despite his heart probably being elsewhere. I couldn't have more respect for the man for those actions and I hope that he'll be a great success at NYCFC despite me hoping they get beat every game.

He is the epitome of a "class act" and Chelsea were lucky to have him represent them for so long. It's worth noting that many of the family members of City players and staff on Twitter have said how much they'll miss Frank and Christine Lampard (to be) and how they and their family were really good people who fit in really well at the club.

Didn't agree with his signing but his personal actions have been without question and he always tried to make a difference for us. A class act all around and hope he goes onto to more success in the MLS.

Clearly we haven't had the best of Frank Lampard but he has shown himself to be an outstanding person and a total professional. At times this season, especially when Yaya was away, I thought he should have played a bit more but never a single negative word.

Was clear to see what the rest of the players thought about him. Good luck super Frank at NYCFC.

Grown to be more affectionate for him than I ever thought I would to be honest. Just the way he's conducted himself, he always gave 100% out there on the pitch.

Genuine class act.
