A very good addition for City scot free. Scores goals from distance, wonderful touch, keeps possession well, can be brought on as substitute for tired midfield players, what's not to like?

Yeah, did ok. Struggled in the first 20 minutes or so, but so did the whole team.

Had to go off at half-time though - yellow card made him a sitting duck for a red.

Can't imagine he was signed with the intention to play in a midfield two at the Emirates. Was out of his depth and woefully lacking pace. Still, good addition to the squad but today was the worst possible situation for him to make his debut in.

Fernandinho had to do play in both midfield positions today .
Frank needs to start quickening up .
The thing is he his too old now .

Did ok but looked out of sorts. At his age its natural to lose your sharpness. Maureens no fool he needed to freshen things up and Fabregas is a brilliant replacement. I think Lampard can make a contribution in the cups and latter stages of a game.

I don't think we have much choice. We have 3 very difficult games in the space of a week we need to use our squad to get through them all without burning out our players.

Still a good player but it again exposes the continual absurd statement about our squad strength if he is the best we can rely on at the Emirates.

We're always very light when we have a midfield injury or two.
