Great post.

Koke?
Possibly. Barkley maybe?

I think Koke has a more complete game,a midfield monster.

Barkley may well develop into such......but its a (financially huge)gamble at this stage.

Do like the look of Koke personally, he'd cost less than Barkley too no doubt. The fees thrown about for him are beyond ridiculous...last week he was valued at £60mill. Haha...f**k right off!

Ridiculous isn't it?

Best move for Barkley would be to go somewhere like Valencia. They've got money and aren't elite yet so can afford to take a chance on players. whereas we can't really, not for the big money, if we're to spend big money it has to be on proven quality.

Fair enough if he's £25m, that's a bit different...but £60m!

He's 60 million because those stupid, desperate, rag wankers paid nearly 30 mil for Luke Shaw. Who can blame Everton for expecting double for a creative player & potential goal scorer ?

Re: Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard has opened up the possibility of him extending his loan stay at Manchester City – although the midfielder remained coy on his future with the English champions.

The ex-Chelsea star joined City on a short-term loan move from New York City in the summer after departing Stamford Bridge following 13 years at the club.

And after scoring in City’s 3-0 win at Southampton on Sunday, Lampard admitted he didn’t know if he would be staying on at the club but said it was ‘nice’ that Manuel Pellegrini wanted him to extend his current deal.

When asked about his future in Manchester, Lampard said: ‘I’ve not spoken to them on that front. I don’t know. It’s nice that they’re saying that – we’ll see what happens.

‘We just have to stay on the hunt and keep winning.’

City boss Pellegrini admitted earlier this week that the club were going to sit down with Lampard to discuss his future at the Etihad stadium outfit.

‘We are going to talk to all the parties and make a decision in December,’ he said.

‘If all parties agree then maybe we can keep him, but it could be that we want to keep him and Frank wants to go.’

Re: Frank Lampard

Once again he was immense when he came on... "Man Of The Match" hands down.

Re: Frank Lampard

It's funny how it works sometimes, isn't it?

Like may on here, I always hated Frank Lampard. However, he was one of those players that you hated because he was a dangerous player, a good player, and someone who didn't play for your side. If one is to be honest, there is a lot of grudging admiration in that kind of hatred. It's born out of the talent of the player, not him being a twat or a goon or whatever.

At the beginning of the season, when he was first subbed on a few times, I thought he looked good but felt he was very muted emotionally. At that time, I figured he would be a good soldier who knew what being a professional meant and who would put in a good shift when called on. However, as the weeks go by and I watch his body language, I see a man who seems to be bedding in with his team mates and taking nicely to his new home.

The question I mull over now, as talk simmers of his stay extending is this: what kind of motivation does a player like Frank Lampard have to help his new team overtake the old team that cast him aside without much regard? I think he might have a lot. He is a class footballer who loves the game and obviously has a bit of fuel left in his tank. He might very well like to help prove that Chelsea made a mistake. This could be a great thing for Manchester City for as long as he stays with the side.

Much respect, Frank Lampard. Much respect.

CTID.

Re: Frank Lampard

The perfect pro. Was just think from now to when he retires he's not going to get much slower and because of the footballing brain he has I would take him back every season and let him do the job he does now or even abit less. Would still have a huge influence on the youngsters and if we needed to see out the closing stages of a European game

Re: Frank Lampard

I love these cameos he does .
Did it against Chelsea , Hull City and now Southampton .
4 goals for super Frank in all games .
I thought he was very good against Bayern Munich .
I`m impressed and hope he stays fit for the rest of his stay at City .
