Same as Demi going to Argy. Trying to make space for Pels panic buying Otanendi.

Or much more likely, he got loaned out because unfortunately the deal to send Demichelis back to river plate, which was so advanced the man himself has said he "had his bags packed", fell through at the last minute.

We need 4 CB's, we tried to move on Demi for Denayer but unfortunately it collapsed, something which is completely outside of Pellegrini's control.

Can we move on? Neville Kneville's come in for a fair bit of flak and, while I don't always agree with him, he's one of our better posters who takes a serious interest in our younger prospects.

We are where we are with Denayer and the other CDs. Most important now is what we do next season. If he's as good as some say, let's hope he gets a proper opportunity.

Not sure that answer will go down well with the Pelle haters.

So he sidelined Demichelis to a cameo & used Denayer (homegrown, takes up no space in squad). Oh no, he got rid of the kid & welcomed his mate back in.

Same way he does everything.

If that was the case, then it means Txiki has talked Denayer into signing a new deal, with the promise of first team foitball, then gone back on his word just a short period afterwards.

I don't believe our club would knowingly do that to a kid, especially one who might be worth 50 mil in a few years. I think Pels arse went, so he asked for Otanendi then we couldn't shift anyone out, so Denayer had to go, as Demi is his mate & Mangala/Otamendi cost a fortune & Pellegrini couldn't see the possibility of Denayer playing other positions. I think the way he farted around with Denayer & Lopes pre season showed tgat he wasn't serious about either, & he thought Lopes would be loaned out too but he was sold

This meant we couldn't sign a striker or put Kelechi in the Champs lg squad. Typical Pel fuckup ino but I have no proof. Just seems logical to me.

No idea if we can buy him back from the loan but hope we leave him for Pep instead.

I think that is exactly what happened. Denayer was in the press before he came back from Celtic saying he was only interested in coming back to City if he had a role to play in the first team. We said no problem, played him loads pre season so he signed his new deal. Then we got the chance to sign Otamendi which we did and told Denayer "sorry no room for you now off on loan you go again". His agents comments said it all that he felt tricked into signing a new deal.

That makes no logical sense to me. He is valued so highly that Txiki tells him lies but doesn't see it as important that he has to work with the lad for 5 10 years afterwards & has blown his trust forever ?
He could still have figured at City if the manager wanted him anyway. He is a free pick as a homegrown player. Obviously the manager wouldn't give him any assurances about getting any game time preferring to prioritise Demichelis etc.

Much more likely to be the bloke who is leaving next season rather than someone who will have to negotiate his full professional contract in the near future.

Put it this way: if it was Txiki, then Denayer is gone soon as he gets the chance. I can't believe the club could be that stupid, but I know a man who can

So you think Pellegrini should have just fucked over a player? Hung him out to dry and not played him at all, through no fault of his own? I'd be pretty fucking ashamed if our club did that to a player who'd contributed so much while he's been here.

Or he could accept things fell through, and sed the kid for a year of great experience playing every week and in the Champions league as well.

It's probably nothing, but if the person who claimed to have a bit of ITK knowledge about him being recalled is correct, Galatasaray just announced the signing of a RB - where Denayer has been playing for them.

So if there's anything in it, they now have a replacement.
