Said it all season. Team shape is as important as individuals and Navas compliments us offensively and defensively.
Yes sometimes his final product is frustrating, but how many times does he get in to a position where a 'final product' is required? More than anyone else in my opinion.
Yes, his crosses are often cut out, as they will be when his odds are 2 in 8 if everyone stands still. Wednesday night and tonight he created as many chances as anyone, he creates 4-6 good chances every game.
His aggressive and more importantly intelligent running mean he's a constant threat.
He was a trusted and well utilised player in arguably the best national team of the past 40 years, he has a decent assists record certainly comparable to the beloved fan boy Milner and yet many constantly slate. People will bemoan Pellegrini for trusting him, but do they bemoan Sergio and Silva, as watching us play it's pretty clear they trust him as do Ya Ya & Fernandinho.
He gets so many chances to deliver his 'poor end product' because he makes the runs that World class players respect, expect and utilise. The players trust him and he understands them. Sterling as of yet doesn't. I expect he will.
Yes, he should score more, but an adjudged poor end product is not as worrying as no end product due to no opportunity for an end product.
Very very underrated player. Our manager trusts him, our star players trust him, he played nearly every minute of our recorded breaking winning streak yet the arm chair managers couldn't wait to get him out of the team.
