They even teach young strikers in that position to shoot between the keepers legs cos the keeper can't react fast enough. Was a very tidy finish.
And I imagine they also teach every keeper that the striker is going to try and shoot through your legs from that position (seems like common sense if you're teaching the strikers to do that). If he was closer to the goal I might accept the "he had no time" excuse, but from that angle and that distance you should be anticipating the low shot and be able to stop it. He was caught flat footed and pretty much just fell over backwards, it was very unusual for Hart as he's normally down very early. It wasn't a clanger, but it was very saveable.

Generous. He made one decent save where he smothered Ramsey and a couple of very routine stops, but he should have saved Giroud's goal. Two weeks in a row now he's let shots from narrow angles go straight through him. It's harsh, but he's the keeper, he's supposed to make saves.
Clueless if you blame him for the Giroud goal. Is he supposed to stand with his legs together???? Would not have a chance of making any saves either side of him if that was the case.

He's supposed to anticipate a low shot and actually be prepared to get down, instead of getting caught far too upright and on his heels.

Yeah and if he did that and he shot in the air and beat Hart you'd be on here slating him for that. Maybe if the defenders did their bloody job he wouldn't keep having to deal with one on ones every fucking game.

Ridiculous to lay any blame for last night at Hart's door. It could've been worse but for him. As someone else said, he's not flawless but we have far more pressing concerns at the moment.

He has less shots to deal with than pretty much any other keeper in the league. He's the keeper, it's not unreasonable to expect him to do a bit of goalkeeping every now and again, it is his job after all. Obviously in an ideal world we'd defend better and have no need for a keeper at all, but at the end of the day he is there to make saves. Like I said, it wasn't a howler by any stretch of the imagination, but in my opinion it's one that he could have saved if he'd got his positioning/balance right.

One way or another, we are letting in far too many goals for the amount of shots we let the other teams have. Obviously some of that is down to people walking it in after complete defensive meltdowns, but he's actually been remarkably good when everyone goes awol and it's him against the entire attack and has saved those more often than not. But regular shots from either outside the box or narrow angles are all flying in. Either we are just getting incredibly unlucky and every attacker is just picking out world class finishes every time, or Hart could be doing better. (I actually think it's more of the first thing than the second, as everyone's finishing seems far worse when watching games not involving us, but it's getting incredibly frustrating now that everything goes in)
