I have to say I'm one of the (seeming minority) of blues who still believes in Pellers experience, and if he's not picking Nacho there's a reason for it. I must admit tho that this quote is a bit worrying. Surely if he's good enough, he plays, regardless of his age.
I can't help but believe you're all over-thinking what amounts to a very small quote from someone who's first language isn't English. Putting it in bold just makes the knee jerk reactions worse in my eyes. And there's a lot more than just game time to judge Kelechi on for the coaching staff. I'll hold fire until the end of season unless Kelechi himself comes out and makes a statement that he's bitterly disappointed (and not from some fake FB account).

hopefully plays today !

If he doesn't it'll be ridiculous given we have another big game Wednesday. This is just the game to see how he is just behind Aguero. Silva can replace Ag at some point and shift Nacho up front.

I'm sure he won't let us down.

You got a quote of Manuel saying we could recall him? Cheeseman seemed pretty adamant on last edition of Blue Tuesday after speaking to club officials we couldn't as it was a season-long loan...???

You can recall anyone from loan but sometimes part of the deal is you have to pay a compensation few for early recall. Presumably MP means "technically we can" but we're not going to pay.

Personally I would do it, he can't do any worse than Mangala.

As a huge fan of Denayer, I hope we don't bring him back now & throw him into this fucking shambles.

I want him to have a proper pre season under Pep & be brought into the squad from there, like should have happened this season.

Good point, it would place undue pressure on him as well because he'd automatically be seen as 'the answer' to our shambolic defence and not have any room or time to settle.

With the benefit of hindsight it should have happened this season. However I strongly agree with your first sentence. The way things are, he'd be simply be put on the bench as insurance against three of Komps, Ota, Mangala and Martin being out. If lucky he'd get the occasional few minutes run-out. Why would he cut his season short for that? Plus he seems to be having his own injury problems.

Everything points towards him starting from a clean and tidy situation in the coming pre-season.
