Been wanting us to try 4-4-2 out again against certain level of opposition. Just because it doesn't really work at the top table of the CL, it doesn't mean it doesn't work in an awful lot of PL games. Hopefully we will use it again and Kelechi can play more. I think he's done enough to prove that he is ready for more minutes and more starting opportunities.

In place of who?
At times when things are stagnating, changes have to be made. We have been poor for large parts of this season. Yesterday looked like a mix of Aguero reaching fitness and flourishing with a striker partner. If our attacks are going to instantly become more fluid through the addition of a partner for Kun, then we must do so for the good of the team.

.
He sees himself best as an attacking midfielder/supporting striker, not an out and out striker I meant. I just want to see him get involved more, I think it's what the whole team needs too, something different.
Agree completely, I've just never heard of a position described as the number 8!

It's funny how little he's played yet he is still only 3 behind Bony in the scoring charts.

They're usually highly paid because they're very good at their jobs, especially at City nowadays. And yes highly paid people will make mistakes but they'll be a damn sight rarer than anyone on a football forum would make in their place.

If no one argued the other side of the coin it wouldn't be a debate would it? Do you really want 20 pages of '+1' after every post?

The 'subservient nonsense' comment is rather silly by the way and not worthy of your normally quite good posts.
I'll give you that they are obviously better informed due to their proximity, but you actually equated being highly paid to making correct decisions. One look at the financial pages, case law, political history and even a read of private eye would show this isn't necessarily the case. Similarly, seemingly unqualified laymen frequently prove successful.
I agree wholeheartedly with your premise that you would hope others would know when and how to introduce a player, it's just the deferential default due to being "highly paid" that I get uncomfortable with.
Luck, chance and circumstance can be reason why people attain high pay, just as much as ability, talent and aptitude. I'm sure there are constant internal review and appraisal systems in place at City to insure our progression. Some will of course be excellent, some will perhaps not match expectations.
I know it can be an anathema to some on here, but everyone should be open to scrutiny, discussion and at least debated, not simply accepted.

Not sure why the subservient comment upset you so much. We seem to be rowing about wording semantics.

Name the first 11 you'd want to see? Not being funny, just curious as to how you'd sort us out into a 4-4-2. Don't see how we'd do it myself.

I was talking specifically about City (as I suspect you were aware) nobody else.

'Not sure why the subservient comment upset you so much. We seem to be rowing about wording semantics.' - Upset? And I wasn't aware we were rowing either.

That's really tough and I'm. Im not entirely sure how well it works with the current players but....

Aguero iheanacho
Sterling silva fern navas
Back 4

Or

Swap KDB with Navas but I likes Navas' pace to get round the oppositions back 4.
