Player Topic: Navas.....

Nobody can knock his work rate but his overall quality of play is not at the standard required

Too much of our goal-scoring power rests on KDB and Aguero. Wide forwards need to be regular goal scorers. Good squad player though

I still see him being gone soon mind, most likely destination being wherever MP rocks up,as lets be honest he rates him the most than all of us put together !

He's 30, he is what he is.
A player that costs £15m at 27 years old isn't ever going to be world class. He does however get a bad rap, there are many more positives to his game than negatives and he doesn't rock the boat.

We miss sterlings runs to the far post.

Navas' crossing will always leave people disappointed when his only option in the box is Aguero - who 3 or 4 times was not making a run in the box yesterday, so Navas' crosses rolled through the box harmlessly.

If we play with a winger we want one who can cross and score goals. Navas, for all his utility as a defensive player, cannot do either with anything like the level of consistency needed.

All I will say the cross to Silva in the 1st leg was world class , like the guy works his fucking balls off just lacks one thing and we all know what it is

He will defo start on the 28th May and I can't wait

I think this is a key point: I think many times Navas does not have enough targets getting into the box early enough so defenders have more chance to block his crosses. Navas though is very predictable and so I think that opposition teams work hard on how to block his crosses. So, yeah, Navas has his limitations but he does stretch play and makes opponents defend.
