Player Topic: Navas.....

Yeah, crosses like the one Sagna did against Watford. I genuinely think Aguero doesn't bother getting into the box when Navas has it out on the wing because he knows what isn't going to happen. Instead he comes short and offers himself for the easy pass.... which also doesn't arrive.
like the 2 crosses Aguero connected with in the first 20 minutes in the first half against Chelsea from Navas? Or the one that was just a yard behind him a few minutes on?

Jesus has the 100% trust of the manager.
He also created the winning goal for a World Cup Final which few can claim.

Gives his all. Frustrating at times but lack of movement has also made him look poor.
He'll do for me and also Sagna & Zaba who play behind him.

David May, Jepser Blomqvist and Djimi Traore have all won the champions league ;)

Its funny that when Navas and Kolorov play
We have a defensive right winger and an offensive left back
Navas plays hard and I applaud that but he has one basic move and everyone has seen it
I think his position could be the biggest upgrade we can make next year
Wouldn't mind him staying but only for a limited substitution role

The guy gets slated and blamed for a lot these days but he's actually a really good squad player for us. His defensive work mid week against psg was top nottch and always tries his hardest. Just a shame he doesn't chip in with a Few goals.

Navas will never be a goal scoring winger - say like Dennis Tuert - but he does put a shift in - more so than others these last few months.
Can we find another DT - I wish

If all people can use to justify his place is his work rate and defensive work then surely he'd be better as a RB than an attacking winger? Sterling has been slagged off for everything from his crossing to his finishing but he has contributed more goals in one season than Navas has in 3 fucking years here. He may be a good rotation option but no fucking way is Pep going to accept a winger who hits the first man most of the game and has scored 8 goals in 3 seasons.

I understand peoples frustration at Navas. His inability to beat the 1st defender sometimes borders on OCD, BUT! he is a good player and stretches the defense regardless of if he has the ball and is work rate coupled with defensive side more than justify a place in the team let alone squad. He worries defenses with his pace which in turn makes room for others he rarely looses the ball other than when crossing. A top player that most under estimate. Will be a loss if he left.

Correct.

Sterling is always going to score more as a right footed player on the left cutting in towards goal. I suspect if Sterling played on the right, his goals tally would drop markedly. Personally I think that it is good to have both as options but I am not sure that either has the ability to be an automatic starter.
