no we don't. HG spaces can be left empty, which makes it even more baffling that we were so desperate for him. even at £50million
 
The price tag on his head is huge. He will come good for us give him time. If he polishes up on his finishing and stuff like that he will be brilliant for us. I think by the end of the season he will get between 10 and 15 goals for us in all competitions. The price of English players are daft we all know that. We got value for Delph if we see him on the pitch for long lol but we will see over the season his value when we get all the players gelled together.

The problem with most English players is they very rarely get much better. His drop in form has coincided with Kolorov form dropping off a cliff. They started well together earlier in the season but it's not looking as good now.

I still think he will be decent for us but is not going to become the next Messi or Ronaldo.
 
Okay didn't have greatest game today but he has been a good buy. The time to to judge him is next season when we have a manager who manages him. Sorry whilst Iam all for giving youth a chance Barker is nowhere his level and never will be. Give the lad a chance for goodness sake. It's like all those writing off Mangala and yet how we need him back and quickly!
 
People say we need to give youth a chance, "play Barker, play Roberts". Yes we bought Sterling, yes he was expensive - but we bought him for his potential. Anyone who didn't know he wasn't a finished product must have been blind this last couple of seasons, he was the same for Liverpool. By playing him we are giving youth a chance & this is what it looks like, for me he has to be given the game time or his development will be stunted.

He no doubt needs to work on his finishing & his weight of pass, but he creates space & chances, and his work rate is impressive going backwards as well as forwards & he's great on the counter with some space. He links up great with Silva too, not having him in the team is a blow for him as well as Aguero.

Wait until we have a full strength team & we'll see how he goes. Give the guy a season at least before judging.
