Player Topic: Raheem Sterling (2015/16)

Sterling was our main threat today and the only player who looked like breaking the deadlock , and why do people keep on bringing up the £50m ? He didnt make the fee , the club also know we paid a £25m "english player tax" , let opposing fans criticise our club for paying big transfer fees , we dont need our own supporters jumping on the bandwagon

Agreed mate he shoulda just drove in and hit it. No need to come back inside

Still thought he had a decent game and was a threat today, bit unlucky
 
Couldn't finish a butty,needs to improve quickly,young lad or not,I fear he could become the one of the biggest big money flops ever unfortunately,but as a City fan I'll support him the best I can,but please put a tackle in every now and then as well please

Agree with this. Can't think of any part of the game today where I'd describe any of what he was involved in as 'unlucky'. Woeful finishing, it's nout to do with luck.
 
He can't really kick the ball very well. Which is amusing really given his profession.

Doesn't strike the ball cleanly when passing or shooting, doesn't use his left foot (the one time he did he scored in Seville!), does the same cut inside trick regardless of success rate, can't quickly interchange passes with our other technical players.

He's purely pace at the moment, and the threat that gives us.

Has plenty of time on his side and with some solid work on the training field he can develop into a very good player. We need to be patient with him, despite his frustrating flaws.

Was very unlucky with the head, I don't think he could have done much different in fairness to him.
 
Think with younger players you get inconsistency and that's what we have had with him this season. I thought he was great at Sevilla and he has had some but not all good games in the prem.

Today, he has to score that chance but other than that it was a fairly average day at the offside, as it was for a lot of players.

I think he will get better though and show his Sevilla form more often.
