Yes. Plenty of them too

I've kept it to Sterling in here until now. But tonight him and Firmino were on the same pitch and only one of them looked genuinely talented so it's relevant to bring Firmino back up.

I was worried the moment that people could only describe Sterling as 'young' and 'English' as reasons to sign him above Firmino.

Absolutely laughable. Sky TV and the likes have played a blinder, sadly Pellegrini/Txiki bought it too.

So Firmino puts in one performance and is now the better player? He's about four or more years older and has that advantage.

Let's see who has more goals and assists to his name at the end of the season.

Not after one game.

Mentally weak - the best players take their old club's boos and shove them so far up their arses that they cough. Raheem hides and passes the ball to them.

But it's not just one performance. He's been putting in performances like that for a while. He's started slow at Liverpool in much the way Silva started slow at us. The talent in the lad is clear for all to see. That's not the case for Sterling. Work rate and, erm, nothingness.

Liverpool fan here.

I think youre finding out what we were telling you when you bought him but were dismissed for being bitter.

Sterling obviously has potential but he is lacking a lot and nowhere near a finished article which makes the £50 million seem crazy.

His problems we mentioned are the same as what you fans are also now saying - final ball, crossing, finishing, shooting. He looks good on the ball, he dribbles around, but the end product is suspect.

The example that is often used was his performance for England vs Italy in the world cup, he looks dangerous on the ball, but didnt actually do anything in the game, if that makes sense.

This all day long and based on his season to date not just today. Seville excepted its hard to see what his attributes are - Technically poor, passes overhit/under hit, possession surrendered, chances missed, limited work rate, he makes decent right backs (Clyne and Walker look world beaters) as he fails to get his body in front of the defender and play breaks down, in short can't see to many defenders worrying about Sterling running at them as his final pass/cross or finish is largely ineffective. Yes he's only 20 and english but I see more technical ability and potential in Ihaenacho.

Nothing would give me more pleasure than to be proved wrong and to look back in 3 seasons time and say 'what a great signing'- but class is permanent and form temporary but sadly Raheem has neither right now.

The mans only 20 I think he can get much better he has the facilities in place to do it, as for now, I'm not sure, but he definitely has time on his hands.

First touch let him down far too often today but he wasn't that bad compared with the rest of them.

I wasn't really expecting him to shine today, it's big pressure and it was hard for him to do that in that shower of shit team display today.
