The price tag is a media stick to beat us with its irrelevant what we paid for him

Is it? The problem with forking out big money on a player is that they tend to get longer to try and come good, often longer than they deserve based upon their performances whereas someone costing 30 million less will get quickly turfed out of the team. Everyone on here wants the lad to do well. Personally, I think he is over rated, he's the type who will have one great performance every couple of months, like Sevilla away, then everyone gets their boxers in a twist gushing over his potential, followed by several weeks of fairly depressing bang averageness. If I'm wrong then as a City fan I will be bloody delighted.

Have to say think you have got it spot on,hopefully he will start to be more consistent as he has only played about 15-16 games so far for us....

He will get slack off the media too because he is English.

He has showed glimpses but not enough of them. For me he is better behind the front man. A central defender not knowing if he will run at them left or right is a scary prospect. I think he is easier to defend against on the left.

I will uppercut my cat if the starting midfield has Yaya at attacking mid and either KDB or Sterling dropped to the bench.
