He doesn't have the understanding of Yaya, Silva and Nasri yet, but in time his interchange work will improve. His speed puts defenders on their heels and once he has faced up a defender all he needs to do is push it past him and take off. Too bad he is a bit of a flopper, as it is the worst part of his game and makes him look young and naive when he does it. Needs to stay on his feet as much as possible so he doesn't get a rep, before it's too late, because he could be the source of many a free kick and possibly pens this season.

Flopper? Really?

Every time he hit the deck yesterday the ref blew for a genuine foul lol.

I think the lad is still overwhelmed with what he has around him and is terrified of making a mistake
Give him another month and he'll really start to perform when his confidence level improves, he really settles in and his nerves die down
He showed enough yesterday to prove he will thrive when he truly beds in

His presence in the team is worth the money alone. The difference in the shape of the team is unreal. As many have said he pins teams back, allowing so much space for Silva.
It was obvious yesterday that Matic was looking after Silva. That negated their best midfielder. Fabregas and Ramiers were no match for Ya Ya and Fernandinho.
Navas and Sterling are keeping teams deep and fullbacks wide, allowing so much space. We could have been 4-0 yesterday before we scored. A Chelsea team under Mourinho never look that shabby in a big game.

Sterling will improve his individual game, and then we'll be devastating especially if De Bruyne is on the right.

thing I noticed is we now have 2 out balls from defence, not the usual punt to Navas and run.

As a few of people have already said sterling playing on the left keeps silva in his best position in the middle. Sterling is playing good he will only get better the more games we play. One thing I will say is he does look like he goes down "sometimes" a little easy maybe.

Think people are under rating the influence he had yesterday , won free kicks and our left side battered Chelsea the whole game. Settling in nicely for me

Any sane football supporter of England should be excited. If he can learn just 20% off Silva and Aguero, he's going to be some player. What a place for a 20-year old still learning the game to find himself (seems odd that this is never mentioned as a motivation in the press........)

i think that sums it up perfectly, by Christmas he will be flying

Not settled yet but still veyr useful. Weaved into the area in the second half and cut it back but aguero wasn't fit enough to get there when he had plenty of time to do so

Those sane supporters will probably boo him! But agree though that he's only going to get better playing with the likes of our Dave and Serg. He's already making a difference to our play by simply being on the pitch and running.
