The only thing that worries me is that we make him 'too intelligent'... The Sterling at Liverpool dribbled a lot more. He ran at defences frequently. He's being a lot more Nasri-like for us. Keeping it simple. All very nice and stuff and i think he's done okay, but I do worry we'll stop him being the instinctive exciting player he is. If that goes then he's not what we needed at all...

There is definitely an element of this. Those runs at Liverpool whilst exciting to watch, often led to nothing and that will already have been coached out of him because with is its all about patience and waiting for the right moment. He took someone on once yesterday and was fortunate to win a foul because for me it wasn't one.

in my opinion still have a lot of work to do. being able to choose the right moment to dribble, recover the ball quickly when its lost and improve his dhooting technique. for me he should not be playing every game ! you czn apply that to navas and nasri some oppositions suits them others not.

Said it before, Sterling should have a go on the right.
---------------Aguero--------------
De Bruyne----Silva----Sterling

Was a bit disappointed Pellegrini didn't start the second half like this instead of bringing him off straight away. But Navas played well none the less!

I completely understand the points raised regarding the step up in quality for Raheem but imo why doesnt pell do you the obvious thing and put him on the right wing! Going off what we witnessed yesterday KDB is more comfortable using both his feet where raheem is having to check back onto his right all the time which for me is slowing his game down. Play him in the position he played more frequent for Liverpool and let the kid develop his left foot this way he's crossing the ball and beating defenders on his more natural side and the team we look balanced. Just my opinion but it isnt rocket science.

Couldn't agree more with this !

I bet we wouldn't have scored five goals wasn't in the least disappointed

I really hope people don't start scapegoating him. That may be rich given my criticism of other players at times but Raheem is clearly gifted and the last thing we want is for him to view City fans as no better than Scousers because people couldn't wait to stick the knife in. If anything I don't think Navas actually contributed anything yesterday, the second half goals came through the combined brilliance of Kun, Kev & Dave. Had Raheem been moved to the right, those goals could easily have still occurred. He's 20, he'll only get better, particularly in this side.
