Just read that on sky. Can't help but think it's a play on words. Some journo asks about klopp and puts negative spin on it for the weekend game coming up. Apparently it's a big game or something

I don't think he played as well as what everyone is making out to be honest, plenty of room for improvement which is an exciting thought to say the least.

And no i haven't been on the crack pipe.......
I agree! There's a bit too much Garth Crooks syndrome going on here. Anyone who scores goals gets in his team of the week, irrespective of other factors. And it's similar thinking here... "He scored three, he played world class". He played well, but there was a lot he didn't do well. But he's 20, so it's to be expected.

The comments from Ward are just being twisted. He says that Raheem is buzzing at city and that's all that matters.

With regards to his performance on Saturday, I can understand people having reservations about his overall play as there were still a few situations where he could've done a lot better and even added a couple of goals/assists to his tally.

However, looking at the fact that he scored three, one of them a worldy, it's obvious that his potential is unbelievable. The key reasons for me that will see him become a world class player are his work rate, attitude and intelligence. These are three aspects that are impossible to coach into someone and at 20 he is showing them in abundance - his movement off the ball against Bournemouth was brilliant.

Add these to his athleticism (pace, strength, balance), touch, etc, and you have a prospect that can do almost anything. Once he improves his deficiencies, which are all completely possible to change, he'll take some stopping.

If he can avoid injury problems we'll have a player that will create/score around 30 a season.

I only talk about Sterling in the context of his age. Nacho is a top prospect with about 45 minutes top flight experience and is a year older than Sterling was when he started the season with Sturridge and Suarez in the Liverpool side that pushed us all the way in the title race. Whilst Nacho might be raw and only play here and there, Sterling had made around 75 appearances for Liverpool by the time he turned 19. He’s still only 20, turns 21 in December I believe and to score a hat trick as he did on Saturday including a great display of trickery and composure… it’s worth getting excited over.

It has to be taken in combination with his age in my opinion. Yes he made mistakes but we’re treating him as we are the likes of Mangala and Otamendi and Fernando who have needed to improve but are considerably older. It’s unbelievable the ability he has. He made 3 appearances as a 17 year old and the following season made 36 scoring twice. Then he managed 10 goals in 38 games despite being 18 when the season started. He scored another 11 last season in 52 games and already has 5 in the 9 games he’s played for us in all competitions. To put that into perspective with his age, Ronaldo didn’t really get going until he was about 21/22 and then kicked on from there. When he first turned up to the rags he was 18/19 and managed 6 goals in 40 odd appearances and was all flair and little end product. At Sterling’s current age Ronaldo managed 12 goals in 47 appearances for the rags and then started to score more regularly and has never stopped doing so. Sterling needs another 7 goals this season to match that record... I'm not saying he'll become Ronaldo, but it's worth noting how good he is for his age against someone who went on to dominate the league for a good three years and carried that form into Spain.

It puts it into perspective a bit… he’s a fantastic talent and the fact he can still improve despite scoring three times is excellent news for us. We could have a real star on our hands. Nacho, De Bruyne and Sterling could be our three stars for the future. All have real talent. It’s great we have them at the club as when Aguero and Silva retire we will hopefully have players to fill their boots (or as close as is possible).

Just read the article with Ward. Glad that we profited from Rodger's time at Anfield. Klopp coming in may have made Ward think twice about marketing Sterling elsewhere.

Apparently Kidd has been spending extra time with Sterling to practice finishing... it's much needed and it showed on Saturday how effective he can be with that added to his game. It shows in De Bruyne, players can drop off and he'll take a shot on and hit the target most of the time. Or they can get tight and he'll run past them or play a precise through ball to someone else. If Sterling improves his finishing he'll be unplayable at times.

This one is shaping up to be like yaya's or the one tevez had
and if we somehow manage to get Pogba then Raiola is his agent, who is a real pain in the arse as well...

All agents are cunts. Atleast Silva and Aguero seem to have quiet agents

Very poor tonight. The game just passed him by. When he went central he looked like he was hiding, when he was wide he couldn't beat his man and can't pass so everything was coming back. As bad as Bony and Zaba.
