Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has offered an update on the hamstring injury he sustained during his side's 5-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday evening.
The Argentine hobbled off during the match, but revealed that he left the field purely as a precaution and will now undergo further tests.
"I felt some pain in my right hamstring and left just as a precaution. My studies will tell me the degree of the injury," he wrote on Twitter.
"It's a pity about the injury but it's easier knowing that we are on top. I hope I get back out on the field soon to keep helping the team."
Aguero opened the scoring at White Hart Lane, racking up his 50th goal in the Premier League.

He didn't pull/tear the hamstring at pace, so hopefully the injury isn't too severe. If he'd been running at full pace and done it then there's more potential for it to be a more serious injury, or for him to further injure it as he's trying to slow down with only 1 functioning leg! The fact it was at a slow pace, and he came straight off, will have mitigated any further damage. I'm not any kind of medical professional, but you'd think 2 to 3 weeks might be about right, although Zabaleta was back after 10 days!

It is a very strong side that loses a player of Sergio's ability and yet can go on to win all but one game they play without him (drawing the other). We managed to score 4 without him on the pitch last night and that shows the quality of this squad.
