Re: Sergio Aguero

If it's 6 weeks add 2 at least to get him back to full speed. Cope through December and a new striker in early January say Bony from Swansea

I'd agree, if he wasn't disappearing with Yaya for 4 to 6 weeks for African cup!

If it's ''only'' 8 weeks, I'll be delighted. If the amateur knee surgeons that populate Twatter are correct, we're looking at the end of his season yesterday.

The fact that not only he was able to walk off the pitch but more the medical team allowed him to would lead me to believe it's not a worse case scenario.

At least, I'd like to think that's fair reasoning.
Watching the medics I did get the impression at lease one of the medical staff was suggesting a stretcher. We have relatively easy fixtures in December after Roma. Hopefully he will be back early in the new year?

It looked almost identical to the way Silva did his, so hopefully it'll be the same amount of time, four weeksish to get him back to training

Here's hoping. If we were going to lose him (and let's face it; with his injury record over the last couple of seasons he was never going to be ever present, was he?), then this month, with a list of supposedly ''easier'' fixtures to come, would be the time you'd pick for it to happen.

agree here, if its anything longer then we have to take it on the chin, but i honestly think its just a silva type problem

If its 6 weeks, buying a striker in January would be stupidity. So we buy Bony for 4-5 games? Then when we can get more quality in the summer what do we do with Bony?

What seems to worry people most if Aguero's crying, but then how would he know what specific injury he has definitely suffered?

Has he suffered a long-term cruciate injury before this?
Went and answered my own question:

<a class="postlink" href="http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1303093-sergio-augero-injury-updates-on-manchester-city-stars-knee-injury" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1303 ... nee-injury</a>

He HAS been stretchered off with a knee ligament injury before, and it kept him out for a month, maybe hence the tears simply being about missing Roma. Mancini's comments at the time:
"I don’t think Sergio will be out for long and we are hoping he will be back after the international break which is obviously fantastic news for him and for us,” said Mancini. "We were very worried a couple of days ago because we feared he could be out for six months or maybe even more which would have been very bad news

“It looked like a very strange injury at the time and because it was his knee, we were obviously very concerned so this news is a relief for everybody.”

Déjà vu?
