Re: Sergio Aguero
I had a torn medial meniscus on my right leg last year after a half marathon. After my op I was running again within a month. If it is along those lines then it's not to bad, 4-6 weeks max. If it was ACL he would not have walked off.

I have had a very similar feeling in my knee, partially torn meniscus and swollen or strained medial ligament. I can still play, but a sudden twist or turn leave a real sharp pain for about 2 minutes then the pain passes but the knee feels weak.
Anyway, my diagnosis a small op to repair the meniscus. But it would bean two weeks without driving. It's my clutch leg. Self employed its not worth the op to preserve a dog shit Sunday league career.
My point, it hurts a lot initially, soon subsides and I'm sure Sergio will get the very best treatment. My guess, same as Spanish Dave. 3-6 weeks.
Players in real danger of serious injuries don't walk off to the wrong side of the pitch for further consultation. The players on the field, our own medical staff and Sergio himself, between them all I didn't see anything that screamed danger. If it was ACL, he would have been straight in a stretcher, straight down the tunnel. Not as I say, taken to the other side of play, with what looked like the consideration he may continue.
Fingers crossed I'm right. If I'm wrong there should be questions asked of our medical staff, I know folk who've damaged the ACL and I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate a 200 yard walk in the freezing cold. Or Sergio is was one very tough young man.
